Shayne's POV:
Today we're flying to Colorado to meet my family. Well, I'm not really nervous, because I know that my parents will take this news lightly as they are well aware of it. My family's just chillin', yu know?
Courtney and I sat together in the plane, of course. In the middle of the flight, she fell asleep. I slowly put her head on my shoulder and wrapped her around a blanket. I kissed her forehead and whispered
"I love you"
As we land in Colorado, I woke her up
"Babe, we're here" I said
"We're what?" She asked as she rubs her eyes and blinked.
"We're landing in Colorado, baby" I replied
After that, we went straight to my parent's house.
"Do they know we're here?" Courtney asked
"Nope, but don't worry, my family is super laid back, I promise"
I replied
"Okay" She said
I knocked on the door, my mother opened it. As soon as she saw me she hugged me as if I didn't saw her for a hundred years.
"Shayne!" My mother said
"Hi mom. I got someone here with me today." I said looking at Courtney and gesturing her to come forward
"Oh, is she, umm?" My mom said, trying to find the perfect and most appropriate word but she couldn't
"Yes, she's the girl" I replied proudly
"Robert, come here this instant! Your son is hereand he has a guest!" My mom shouted
My father sprinted to the scene. When my father saw me and Courtney, his eyes were immediately filled with joy.
"You did the right thing, my boy" He said while hugging me, and yet again I'm surprised he did.
"With the help of my old man's words" I said
"We're so proud of you, son" Mom said
Courtney was just looking at me as if I was her son that's getting a diploma, graduating from college.
"So, you must be Courtney?" My mom asked Courtney
"Yes, I am" Courtney replied
"I have met you before, but this is a more formal and proper way" My dad said giving Courtney a hug
"I agree, sir" Courtney replied
"So, Courtney, is Shayne annoying you?" My brother asked
"No, not at all" Courtney replied with a chuckle
"Really?!" My brother said, in the tone of his voice, he was being sarcastically shocked
"Oh shut up Brian!" I said
"So how's life, what are kids busy about?" My mom asked
"We're a little busy at work at the moment" Courtney said
"We're filming a lot of videos lately" I added
"Well, how's your family Courtney?" My father asked Courtney
"They're fine, actually Shayne met them a week ago, and they approved our relationship"
"Wow, Caroline not being strict with her daughter, she had changed a lot..." My father said
"I was shocked with she said too, sir" Courtney said
Courtney was chatting with my parents, giving them details about her, making side jokes here and there. My parents laughs at her jokes and they adore her. Well, I knew this was coming, I'm just glad that the events didn't take the wrong turn and turned up bad.
