Getting work done

Hotch began to formally introduce you to the team an older man named Rossi, a man they kept calling chocolate thunder but his real name was Morgan and then 3 women Emily,Penelope, and JJ. You finally meet eyes with the man from the coffee shop. "I'm Dr. Spencer Reid, but you can call me Spencer or Spence or Reid." He laughed nervously. You smiled and introduced yourself. "Great let's get to work then." Hotch said as they sat down in the conference room. You inwardly sighed as the only empty seat was next to Spencer he smiled at you as you sat down. You smiled nervously but quickly looked down at the iPad explaining the case, you squinted slightly you hated using iPads for reading and just preferred using a normal book. "Here wanna share with me?" Spencer whispered as he pushed his paper copy of the case in between the two of you. You smiled and scooted closer to be able to read, you noticed Emily give Morgan a look but you tried to ignore it. "Wheels up in 30." Hotch nodded to the team. You quickly grabbed your bag you had been told to have ready. As the team boarded the plane Hotch explained to you that you could use this as free time to look over the case but since it was your first case just to mainly observe. You nodded and sat down oddly enough Spencer sat right next to you even though there were plenty of seats open. You began reading the case and look at the extremely graphic photos of the bodies of the victims. Nothing in college had really prepared you for this and you shuddered. You saw Spencer looking at you. "Hey it's always the worse your first time so it gets better from here." He then looked back down quickly flipping through the pages. The team began to discuss. You decided not to share as you were new and didn't really feel like you had much to offer to the discussion. As you got close to landing Hotch paired everyone up. "Morgan and Prentiss go to the first crime scene, JJ, me,you, and Rossi will go see the bodies, and Reid you and Y/n will go to the police station to set up." Everyone nodded. You felt a bit of excitement to be alone with Reid and you didn't really know exactly why.
