Anniversary Party Pt. 1

Jimin was helping his mom with the finishing touches for their 25th wedding anniversary party.

He was already tired, his mom can be relentless when it comes to specific details in decorating. He had to call for help to help him deal with his mom and everything she wanted done.

So Jin, Hobi and Tae all came to help. They were not spared the same treatment as Jimin received. But they knew she was just stressed about the party and wanted everything to be perfect.

Pretty soon they were done with all the decorations and seating arrangements. All that was left was the catering but that will be dealt with on the day of, and didn't involve them.

Throughout the day Jimin kept his eyes on how Tae would act around Jin. And vice versa. If he didn't know better, he would think they had feelings for each other.

And being the little trouble maker he is, he thought he'd test the waters.

So when he saw them playing with some of the string that was used in the decorations and giggling amongst themselves.

He came to stand in front of them and said, "You know, you two look really good together. Maybe even better than you look with JK."

They both stood frozen at his comment. Then nervously moved away from each other.

"Be quiet Chimmy. You know we're just friends. So don't even play around like that. It's disrespectful to Jin."

Jimin laughed out loud. He knew it. They really do like each other. This is perfect.

"I didn't mean anything by it, I just meant you would make the perfect visual couple. That's all."

Then he turned to get back to helping Hobi with a flower pot.

Tae went to talk to Jin who had moved farther away from him to pretend to do something else.

"I'm sorry Jin. He didn't mean anything by it. I hope he didn't make you uncomfortable by what he said."

Jin shook his head then replied, "No, of course not. It just sounded weird to hear. I'm so used to everybody only seeing me as JK's fiancé or whatever. It just threw me off.

I hope you didn't feel weird about it though. Cause I think you're really nice. And I don't want rumors to start and ruining your chances of finding your own Mr. Right."

Tae stiffens then laughs out and says, "I'd settle for Mr. Right Now at this point."

Jin laughs along with him and slaps him on his arm.

"Why don't you have a boyfriend Tae? I mean, you are so handsome and you are very sweet. I know you went through a tough time with your past boyfriend, but maybe it's time to get back out there. You're still young and deserve someone who will love you and take care of you."

Tae shrugs his shoulders and says, "I don't know. I don't like going to clubs. And I guess I just haven't met anyone that makes my heart pitter-patter. You know what I mean? At least not anyone single.."

He glances at Jin who is blushing. He doesn't mean to make it an awkward moment so he tells him, "Come on, let's ask if there's anything else they need our help with. Otherwise let's get the hell out of here."

He unconsciously grabs Jin's hand and with intertwined fingers walk over to Jimin's mom.

Jin feels his face burning. He doesn't understand why it feels as if his heart is doing flips. He looks down at their connected hands and feels the blood rush to his head.

When Jimin's mom tells them that everything is pretty much done, she Thanks them and walks away.

Tae is still holding on to Jin's hand when they suddenly turn and see Jimin standing before them. They see how his eyes linger at their hands.
