"... she had scars that needed plastering. I never knew that it would be me to fix her pain,"
-Dante De Luca.

I look to the side coming to see Theo frozen on the spot with with two plastic bags in each hand. His eyes widen, the bags now falling on the floor which made the contents fall out. Drinks and snacks scattering out in the open. He takes a step back before stuttering,

"Wha... what's going on here?"

From the side I feel Dante roll his eyes at his question. Theo didn't wait for an answer because he rushed up to me and held my forearm, pulling me away from Dante. I stumbled backwards, now meeting his eyes. He spoke sternly,

"You ain't instigating a fight are you?"

I scoff, knowing that he would say those exact words. Without putting a fight I shake his grip off me, my eyes falling back on Dante who was already looking at me with a look in his eyes that I couldn't put a finger on. I give him a sarcastic smile before commenting,

"Your retarded goose is here. My job's done,"

A flash of emotion wavered on Dante's face. He was about to say something but he doesn't. He held himself back. I walk backwards, my eyes still on him. God knows how but I made it around the counter, finally walking properly back to the staff room,

"I served them a cookies and cream milkshake and black coffee,"

I said, my speech directed at Theo. I don't wait around and go into hiding. Even though I wasn't present, I could hear loud and clear on what was happening. There was a lot of shuffling around and then the till opening. Not long later the chimes went off, signalling that they had left.

Deep within me my heart sunk a little. A part of me wanted to have a fight so that I could be in the presence of Dante but the other part of me was against it. There was something about him that seemed off. His aura spoke a lot about him.

He seemed dangerous. He seemed deadly. Lethal even.

On the other hand, he seemed like a person who you'd get a sense of thrill with in your life. Someone who would make your heart pound with adrenaline constantly. Someone who you'd smile without a care due to the addictive rush that came.

The thought alone made me want to cave in.

Once I knew that the main floor was empty I peaked my head out, coming to see Theo trail back to  the contents that spilled out. I looked around, coming to see no-one around. It was clear as daylight that the cafe was once again, vacant. I sighed deeply catching Theo's attention,

"You didn't create a scene did you with him?"

I give him a 'seriously' look making him shake his head. I only complain,

"What do you take me for?"

Once he had placed everything back into the bag he stood up, walking over to the counter. I followed by leaving the staff room. I helped him take out the stuff, placing them in the fridge,

"I take you for someone who is unpredictable,"

I rolled my eyes at his statement, disagreeing with him mentally. I rubbed my hands on the back of my jeans wanting to ask something. Luck for me was a bitch, it was like the Gods of distributing luck was not in my favor.

I was about to ask him something when the chimes on the door went off. I looked to the side seeing three bulky weird looking guys walk into the cafe. They scanned around the cafe, seeing it vacant.
