I feel cold.
I moved my hands in search of my coverlet. But, to my dismay, the warmth provider couldn't be found. I opened my eyes and immediately shut it closed. Those small movements made my temple thump in pain. It felt as if someone slammed my head against a wall.
My eyelids felt heavy. With another attempt to open my eyes, I swore under my breath at the expected pain. Whatever I did last night would not be repeated again.
I used my hands to cover my eyes in preparation for bright sunlight. Confusion overtook me as I never felt the usual morning light touch my skin.
Peeking under my hand, I almost screamed.
Where am I?
This room is noticeably bigger than mine with pitch black drapes instead of my baby blue curtains. The bedsheets were a dark blood red with black stripes.
Oh f*ck! I've been abducted by a Satanist!
My mind grew clouds of worry and I frantically looked for signs of anyone else in the room.
Confusion overtook me and was shortly replaced by embarrassment as I remembered what happened yesterday. Clear images of my actions, words and thoughts were brought back to mind.
Then another moment was created and fear crept at my skin again. I don't remember what happened after I asked him to take me to his room!
All thoughts of Cole abducting me were backed up with known evidence.
The bottle of wine could've had drugs in it to make me drowsy. When I talked about kissing; he did with no hesitation.
The last one that took the cake was what I felt around my ankle. When my eyes saw that it was a handcuff, I screamed.
Realization hit that Cole could be on his way to kill me after hearing my scream. I sat up and immediately regretted it when a great wave of pain hit my head. I clenched my jaw and worked my hands to remove the handcuff. My palms became sweaty which made my fingers slip with every attempt to loosen the cuffs.
I watched the door like a hawk. Moving my body in ways to reach the cuffs with my mouth.
If I can't push them off, I'll just bite them like a damn dog instead!
From my peripheral vision, I saw the doorknob twist followed by it being pushed open.
I seized my attempts to gnaw the cuffs. My body shook as I scrambled to grab two plush pillows - ready to attack my abductor - Cole.
"Skit-"
I threw one pillow at the ajar door.
"F*ck!"
I threw the other pillow when I saw his body entering.
"F*ck! Stop f*cking doing that!" He swore repeatedly.
"Let me out of these!" It wasn't until then did I notice tears running down my cheeks.
Cole didn't answer me. He ran to another room connected to this. I heard water running and seized the opportunity to try and break free.
Again.
With very few attempts made, I slammed my fists onto the mattress in frustration, "You can't keep me here forever, Cole! If my mother doesn't get an answered call from me a day, she'll drive all the way here! She'll interrogate everyone who ever spoke to me when I got here! From the store clerk to my former boss! Whatever it takes! Candace wi-"
