What happened?
What happened to the spark?
The spark that gave light to our relationship.
In the beginning,
Life was a fairytale.
But now I'm here,
Feeling like I'm going insane.
I don't know what happened to you.
When you came stumbling through,
Our door.
I smelt the whiskey,
I smelt the change.
Wondering why you were home so late.
A year later,
And it's still the same.
You're breaking me into pieces,
Which you can never mend again.
You've changed into a person I don't know.
You call me names,
Slam me against the wall,
Speaking slurred and slow.
What happened to the sweet kisses,
And late nights talking.
Now it's just bruises
And the smell of you smoking.
You've become rough,
Which was once your tender touch.
Your hurting me so much,
But still I can't get enough.
Today I lay here,
Vulnerable on our bed.
The fragile parts of my heart,
Left open for you to break.
As I Iay here and think,
Is this all a big mistake?
