Theo watched from a distance as you laughed with Malia and Stiles. Tears brimmed in his eyes as he watched you, he hated that you couldn't remember who he was, but it wasn't your fault. He just wished that everything would come flooding back and you'd run into his arms and hold him. But no, that didn't, and probably wouldn't, happen.

About a month ago, you were injured during a fight. You were flung against a wall, hitting your head off the hard rock, resulting in amnesia. The doctors had no idea how long it would take for your memory to come back, they only knew that you remembered everything up to a certain time before you met Theo and that when you saw him, you went into a state of panic and confusion. Today was your first day back at school, the first day he'd seen you since he visited you in the hospital.

You met his eye with a nervous smile, and he could tell by your expression that you still didn't know who he was. He could tell by the slight squinting of your eyes that you were trying to focus on remembering who he was, but as your face dropped slightly he knew that it wasn't working.

"Y/N?" Stiles said, placing a hand on your shoulder. "You okay?"

"Who is that again?" she asked the two, a curious look on her face as she held eye-contact with Theo.

"That's Theo" Stiles told you, looking at Malia questioningly. "Er, we're not really supposed to tell you who he is just yet."

"I want to know" you sighed.

You had seen Theo around a lot, watching you from a distance, and you always felt a sense of familiarity around him, but you couldn't place your finger on why. A small smile made its way onto Theo's face as you continued to hold eye-contact with him and, though you weren't sure why, you found that a small blush made its way onto your face.

"He's your boyfriend" Malia blurted. "Well, was. Well, is. Well--"

"Malia!" Stiles scolded. "We weren't supposed to say anything!"

"What are you three arguing about?" Scott intervened as he walked over with Lydia.

"Malia told Y/N who Theo is" Stiles sighed.

"Malia!" Scott groaned, pinching the bridge of his nose.

"Can I talk to him?" Y/N asked, finally breaking the eye-contact with Theo.

"I'm not sure that's a good idea" Scott said, at the same times as Lydia saying, "Yeah sure, I'll take you over."

The two shot each other a disagreeable look.

"She has to talk to him at some point!" Lydia pointed out. "Maybe this is exactly what she needs to remember him!"

Lydia grabbed your arm, ignoring all your friends' protests, and took you over to Theo who stood up from his leaning position with a shocked expression.

"Y/N" Lydia spoke, "this is Theo. Your boyfriend. You don't remember him because of your amnesia, but hopefully you will soon."

"Hey" you smiled. "I'm Y/N-- wait, you knew that already."

"Yeah" he chuckled, his blue eyes sparkling.

"Listen, I'm so sorry that I don't remember you" you sighed. "But I found some pictures in my room of us and I think I really love you. I hope my memories come back."

Theo beamed and blushed, looking down at his feet. "I-- yeah, me too."

You grinned at him, a light blush dusting your own cheeks, before bidding him farewell.

"Oh, er, actually, I'll see you in Chemistry!" he called after you. "We sit beside each other."

"Okay" you smiled. "I'll see you then."

You felt your hands shake as you sat down in your Chemistry class. You watched the door, anxiously waiting for Theo to walk in. You hoped with everything you had that the memories would resurface, that you could be the girl he fell in love with because knowing that you had no recollection of anything the two of you did together must be driving him crazy. And boy, you were right.

As Theo walked into the classroom and met your eyes, he felt his heart ache. Your eyes weren't the same as they used to be - they didn't hold the excited sparkle that they did only five weeks ago. Your smile didn't meet your eyes like it did before. Your hair wasn't styled the way you styled it pre-accident. He couldn't quite explain it, you were different but there were things about you that hadn't changed. He wished with everything he had that you would remember him properly. He wished that you'd remember each intimate night the two of you had shared, he wished you'd remember the feeling of his touch on your skin, he wished you'd remember the way you felt when he held you in his arms. He wanted nothing more and he'd give anything to have you back. But he brushed this sadness off as he sat down beside you, shooting you a half-hearted smile as he took out his notebook. He knew deep down that he shouldn't be off with you, as its not exactly your fault, but he still felt a pang in his heart every time you spoke to him.

"Okay, class!" your teacher exclaimed, snapping the both of you out of the thoughtful dazes you were both trapped in. "I want you all to grab some highlighters and a worksheet, we're just going to be working through that today!"

Both you and Theo reached over to grab a highlighter and a worksheet, resulting in your fingers brushing against each others'. You inhaled sharply as an intense headache took over your brain. Your vision blurred. And then suddenly, a visual slideshow appeared in your vision, as though your brain were projecting this view onto your eyes so you could see it. Every single moment that you had shared with Theo flashed before your eyes, every touch, every laugh, every fight. You were remembering everything.

"Hey" Theo whispered, running a hand up and down your back. "Are you okay?"

You stormed out of the classroom, breathing heavily as you leaned against the lockers. Theo hurried after you, a concerned look on his face. You sighed, closing your eyes tightly.

"What's going on?" he asked you, anxiously.

"I remember" you breathed, suddenly feeling an overwhelming amount of love for the boy in front of you. "I remember everything."

You wasted no time after that, capturing his lips with yours in a needy kiss. A few stray tears dripped down his cheeks as he kissed you back, holding you close to him.

From a distance, Scott and Lydia were watching with wide smiles on their faces.

"I told you she'd remember" Lydia bragged.
