Single Act of Dying

What perplexes me the most
about the single act of dying
is how a person could be here one moment,
but then the next they are no more.

One moment
they are moving and breathing,
then the next they are
breathless and still.
Alive then dead.
Motionless and gone.

Have you ever seen the spirit of a soul
leave the body of a person?

It's both -powerful and beautifully
heartbreaking.
