──────────── OLIVER WOOD just wants to play Quidditch. So much so, that in the summer before his seventh year, when his parents tell him that they are concerned about the amount of time he dedicates to the sport, he accidentally leads them to believe he has a girlfriend. It seemed like a clever solution, at the time, and it certainly got them off his back. There was, however, one rather fatal problem with Oliver's cunning plan - he most certainly did not have a girlfriend.

And even worse still - they want to meet her.

ELODIE BRIGHT just wants to play the violin. When she returns to Hogwarts to discover that her recent ex has hooked up with a new girl over the summer, Elodie's world is shattered to pieces. So much so, that when the Gryffindor Quidditch Captain overhears her predicament and offers her a deal, the opportunity seems too good not to take.

The plan was clear: pretend to be a couple for a few months, meet Oliver's parents and make Aspen jealous, and then 'break up' after Christmas. And for a while, everything seemed straight-forward. But nothing is ever that simple - not where feelings are concerned - and when the situation at hand lives on a short-term contract, love is most certainly not a part of the plan.

Every song has an ending, but she found herself wanting to listen to theirs forever.

AUTHOR'S NOTE ─────────── bringing back the unpublished Oliver Wood fic because why the fuck not - let's goooo! I'm actually really glad I'm suddenly so inspired for this book to be honest. I've given it a bit of a makeover in terms of content and graphics so it's definitely new and improved and I'm looking forward to introducing Violin Kisses 2.0!

This book is my equivalent of Vee's book ceasefire because instead of being full of war, death and extremely complex dark plots like all of my other books, this book is instead made up of typical teen drama, burnt-out sports captains with a competitiveness complex, and vibes!!! But I really seriously love the fake dating trope like it's so fun so writing something soft and more casual instead of something heavily shakespearean and dramatic for a change will be super super enjoyable I'm sure. Although they are teenagers so you know, it won't be all unproblematic!

Anyway, how could I resist writing a fic about my absolute king Oliver Wood - I adore him honestly he's such an underrated legend. I will say that I have so many bloody books on the go at the moment so pre-warning if I don't update that frequently. But Elodie is such a cool OC and I never write about Hufflepuffs so this is going to be a hoot.
