Chapter 37: Left Behind

Itachi's eyes widened, turning around at the woman behind him.

Rose stood behind Itachi, her akatsuki cloak tied around her waist with her arms crossed over her chest.

"Rose, your back." Itachi said as Rose smiled.

"Hi Ita. I had to leave Tobi and Deidera, because of course, my team got in the way of the three tails capture. I'm guessing everything went good here?" Rose questioned as she looked down at the man laying on the ground, raising an eyebrow.

"Yes. Once we turn him in, the sealing of three and four tails is to take place." Itachi said as Rose nodded, giving Kisame a blank look as she turned around.

"Then I'll take my leave. My demon clones don't do well in the rain, so I'll have to deal with that. I'll be heading back to Tobi and Deidera now." Rose said as rain drops fell to the ground, Itachi nodding before giving her a sad look.

Itachi quickly went back to his blank face, as he shook his head.

"So, the nine tails will be sealed lastly, right?" Rose questioned from over her shoulder as Kisame nodded.

"Yes. If not, it may disrupt the balance of the statue, and it'll come crashing to the ground. I honestly don't understand why we don't just capture him and keep him imprisoned." Kisame said with an irritated look as Rose scoffed.

"Good luck with that. Deidera already failed at that once." Rose said as Itachi nodded.

"If we're to seal the nine-tails last, then we might as well hunt him down last." Itachi said as his eyes widened, Rose groaning slightly.

Rose, Itachi, and Kisame's holograms appeared, Rose crossing her arms boredly.

"You are late." Pain said as Rose shrugged.

"I had to deal with my demon clones. My shadow Justus don't do very well in water." Rose said as Pain nodded.

"We were just finishing capturing the jinchuriki when you contacted us. And then we had to tie him up to make sure he couldn't escape." Kisame said.

"I have some urgent information that I need to relay to you. Orochimaru has been killed." Pain said as Rose's eyes widened, clicking her tongue in annoyance as she sighed.

"Ha, it's been 10 years since he left the akatsuki. At least we've been spared the task of killing him. Who cares if he's dead?" Kisame said as Rose growled.

"Oh I dunno, maybe his fucking student. Have some respect, fishy." Rose said with a glare as Kisame growled.

"Who you calling fishy!?" Kisame yelled as Rose crossed her arms, smirking as she looked away from him.

"So, who killed him? I'm kind of in the mood for revenge." Rose said as everyone perked up.

"It was the hidden leaf. Kakashi and the nine tails jinchuriki's team-" Zetsu relaid as Tobi chimed in.

"Yes, they're extremely strong, that team. No wonder Deidera got pummeled by them." Tobi said as Rose chuckled.

"Tobi, just keep running your mouth, and you'll push me to my limit." Deidera said as Rose laughed.

"Aww Deidie, I'm sure you tell Tobi that all the time in the bedroom, now can we focus here?" Rose asked as Deidera growled, Tobi turning his head to the side in confusion.

"Just calm down Rosie-" Tobi started but Rose shot him a glare.

"You don't have the right to keep calling me Rosie. Only few people can call me that, and you are not one of them. So shut it, Tobi." Rose said in a low tone as Tobi waved his hands in the air, nodding scaredly.
