DAWN KENDALLINE'S POINT OF VIEW

Nang nakita ko ang ginawa ni Yassi, kay Roze agad lumipad ang paningin ko.

I let go of the katana I was holding and I knew Tylex was surprised at that. From the corner of my eye, I saw that he looked too at what I was looking at.

Sa pagkalingat ay hindi ko napansin ang mabilis na kilos ni Tylex. Maagap akong napasahig at naitutok niya ang katana sa lalamunan ko.

"Your dead," anunsyo niya. "'Wag mong ugaliing tumingin sa iba, Kendall. Matatalo ka talaga," sabay ngisi niya at lahad ng palad sa'kin.

Inirapan ko lang siya at tinanggap na ang kamay niya para makatayo ako.

"I really thought just because you're fit and sexy, you have a pure talent for this. But it turns out, it's just a bitch strength. Sa nakita kong laban niyo kagabi, hindi ko akalaing may mas ihihina ka pa pala?" nakangising pag-aasar ni Shantal kay Heidi Leigh na nakahawak sa sugatan niyang braso.

Maagap niyang tinulungan ang sariling makatayo at madilim na tiningnan si Shantal. Nagtiim-bagang siya.

"The nerve of you. I'm just not in shape right now. Wait for the next time, I'll surely beat your ass!"

Shantal suppressed a smile.

"There will be no next time, Heidi Leigh. Fighting over the weak ones is not really my thing, you know. I'd love to fight Xiafezin Roze," sumulyap siya kay Roze at napangiwi. "Only that she lost over my brother, too, so no thanks. You're all boring."

Nag-ekis siya ng mga braso at mayabang na tumingin kay Heidi.

"Don't worry, kids. Just like last night, this is only a skill test. But the next nights would be wilder so we hope this could serve as preparation for all of you," Commander George said.

"Skill test? I almost got killed!" reklamo ni Heidi Leigh. "That's not even a skill test! Gosh, this is ridiculous!"

"Pwede ba? Matututo ka tumanggap ng pagkatalo, Heidi Leigh," tumaas na ang boses ni Shantal.

"Oh please. I can accept defeat! But not with you, freak!"

Pumait ang mukha ni Shantal. "What did you call me?!"

"Shantal, that's enough," tinig na pamilyar.

Napalingon kami sa entrance ng arena at nakitang pumasok doon sina Thalia at Abigail, kasama si Dean Sandro at ang sekretarya nito. Napaayos ako ng tayo at sabay-sabay kaming yumuko sa matanda.

"Nonno?" pagtawag ni Axel at sinalubong niya ito. "What are you doing here?"

"I just want to see how's everybody doing. The trainees?"

"The trainees? Disappointing, Nonno. This is so far from what I've expected from them," natatawang pahayag ni Shantal.

Talagang walang pakialam ang isang ito kung nakaka-offend siya, ano? She's so straightforward. Sinamaan siya ng tingin ni Darcee kaya inipit niya ang mga labi at nanahimik na. 

"They're doing good," agap ni Tylex.

"Oh, well, I believe there's still a room for improvement," ani Dean Sandro. "Anyway, before this night ends I want to invite you all for a simple dinner. I'm sure you haven't taken your dinner yet, trainees? Sons?"
