These five words in my head scream are we having fun yet.

The Nickelback lyrics roar through my headphones while I'm desperately trying to drown out my parents screams at each other from downstairs. I can feel a warm tear being to roll down my face, you would think I'd be used to them fighting by now but the truth is it never gets easier.

I decide to attempt and distract myself by opening twitter, I honestly don't have many followers at all 5 I think ? 10 at best. My social life is just as boring as my social life, just like followers I don't have many friends, actually scratch that I have no friends.. Absolutely none.

I hit the "compose a tweet" button and write

@Avery_may2003 : Honestly what's the point ?

I don't mean to sound depressing but I don't know what else to write at this moment. I throw myself back down onto my bed as I let out a sigh, It's a Friday night so I can imagine every one else my age is currently piss drunk at some high school party right now. I personally have never been one for parties, I just don't see the hype around getting smashed and hanging out with a bunch if horny and sweaty teenagers. As I'm thinking about all the fun things I could be doing if I had friends I hear my phone go off.

*Ding*

I wouldn't be so confused if getting notifications was a regular occurrence but that's the thing, its not. I pull my self to a sitting position and wipe my eyes fry so I can see what the notification is. I look down and see its from twitter

That's odd, like I said I don't get followers. I follow back just to be nice and begin scrolling through my feed again. There's nothing really interesting to be honest just the usual, drama from the fandoms, drunk tweets etc. This was until I got a new dm.

This is odd, no one ever wants to be friends. Its especially weird because for all I know this guy, well I'm assuming guy because his username says Michael could be some 70 year old creep. I reply anyway not wanting to be rude, and plus I could use a friend

I open the picture reluctantly but when I do I'm surprised, I see a boy, Green hair, Big smile and he looks around 17 maybe 18?

Avery_may2003 : Oh cool, I'm 17 I thought that was sort of obvious due to the 2003 in my user

He seems nice, a very bold personality but in a good way. Again a friend wouldn't hurt so why not ?

I say this as a joke knowing that I'm the one who should be lucky considering all my friends left me but I wasn't about to tell Michael that, oh and the winky face is just something I do often I don't completely know why.

And with that I take out my earphones that were playing a random Blink-182 song that I was too distracted to listen too. I realised my parents aren't at each others throats anymore, they are probably asleep at this point.

I lay down and slowly drifted off to sleep happy that I now have a friend.
