Months had passed. The blossoming sakura trees weren't there anymore, instead, they're replaced by dry, brown leaves struggling to stay attached to the branches. Autumn is here.
Seiryuu had been staying at home for these past few months, she didn't go to school due to her dyslexia. At first she was really against the idea, but after much persuasion from Akaashi, she accepted the suggestion.
Since she hadn't been going to school, she had to do something productive. For example, she's now helping to do chores at home. Occasionally, she'd learn skills like sewing, and on some days, she'd go to the nearby ice skating rink to skate.
Currently, she's at home doing embroidery with floral patterns. The sky was getting darker and Akaashi will be home soon.
Since Nationals ended, the third years had no reason to stay in high school anymore. They graduated and went their separate ways, focusing on their future endeavours. And since the reliable volleyball players were already gone, Akaashi didn't play competitively anymore. He focused on his studies solely so that he could pass his graduation test with flying colours.
"Tadaima," Akaashi called out as he wriggled his feet to get his shoes off. As usual, his parents weren't at home, they are in a meeting overseas.
"Okaerinasai!" He heard his sister call out from the living room. He stood in the middle of the living room, his eyes wandering around and finally landing on his little sister.
Keira was so immersed in the playing tv show that she didn't notice her brother's presence behind her. With a short sigh, Akaashi walked past her and up to his room.
He opened the door gently and was met with Seiryuu, who was sitting on the bed and doing her embroidery.
"Tadaima," he said again and her eyes darted up to meet his. She grinned and hopped off the bed, skipping her way towards him and leapt into his arms.
"Okaerinasai," her voice was muffled against his chest. He smiled and hugged her tightly against himself, feeling all his stress fading away as soon as he held her.

[Akaashi's point of view]
"It'd be fun. Are you even listening to me?" I sighed when I received no reaction or response from my fiancé. She was currently sewing some flowers and although it's beautiful, it's not what I care about now.
"Sorry, what did you say?" She looked up at me, a sheepish chuckle escaping her lips.
"Do you want to go to the upcoming festival with me?" I repeated again and she tilted her head to the side, probably due to confusion.
"The Tsukimi Festival. It's a festival where people gather to view the moon and eat mochi," I explained.
Her eyes lit up and she nodded her head immediately. My lips curled up at her response and I slowly listed down the things she need to take note of before going to the festival.
[One week later]
I sat on the couch in the living room, waiting patiently for Seiryuu to get ready. Well, not so patient to be honest.
My fingers were drumming against my lap, and I couldn't stop glancing at my wristwatch every few seconds.
Ah, we're going to be late.
