CHAPTER 16

Phone slipped from Nandini's hand and manik got up and made Nandini face him

Manik : what happened baby ?

Nandini : Manik rakesh sir got drunk

Manik : what ?

Nandini : ya Kritika called to inform ? Ohh god what will happily now ?

Manik hugged Nandini and squeezed her

Manik : bussss it is just drinks he will get fine by tommorow . Don't worry barfi

Nandini : why did he drink so much ? He never does anything like this

Manik : situations barfii . He is alone right now and this is his dream project

Nandini : hmmm

Nandini was looking in oblivion so manik breaking the ice said

Manik : should we sleep

Nandini : can I go in the office just to check on rakesh sir

Manik : in my view there is no use of going their only to see him in a helpless situation

Nandini : but

Manik : dekho barfii agar apko jana hai to I will take you but please think about him would he want his favourite student to see all that

Nandini : hmm

Manik cuddled her up with him in blanket and said : mera baby has to go through so many things in this month

Nandini : I don't know manik . I just feel why cant we be happy like we used to be and why can't this project go smoothly ? Why is all this happening ?

Manik : barfii if everything will be perfect then what will we be proud about in future ? These little difficulties make us strong

Nandini : manik my brother's is

Manik : no barfii they are not important and don't call them your brother's and mera bardii thak gaya hai so now sleep Tomorrow is a long day for my jaan

Manik hugged her to his waist tightly and then slept but sleep was far of from Nandini . All of today's activities has taken a toll on her but seeing manik she couldn't help but remember the sweetest memory of their childhood

Flashback

A 12 year old Nandini was  shivering with fear in her room as she was having a panic attack and she was seeing people laughing on her . Their were hallucinations all around .
