The mage stared out at the rippling water of the lake caused by the slight breeze, a layer of dust settling over the white fabric of his shelter, a frown coming to the girls face replacing her previously content expression.
As if the world was glitching, or stuck between two where seconds ago had been a lake filled with crystal clear water flickered between that perfect image and one of a sand covered landscape the only break in the dust being half dead shrubs or the bodies of long dead humans. The dark haired girl shuddered dispute the sudden wave of heat that had washed over her.
Turning away from the scene to enter her tent a sick feeling in her stomach as the lake returned, her island once again it's paradise she stopped. Grabbing what appeared to be string off her tent, 6 strands of hair to be more accurate disturbing the dust that swirled around in the air before lazily settling back onto the white surface. The only reminder something was out of normal.
