History and location

Kyonos is located in the middle of a desert, and before it was settled. Nearly 200 years back from when the story takes place it was an oasis, with a large forest on one side of the lake the river formed and grass on the others. Their was a Rindea population

The population quickly grew and within 25 years where there once was only nature was a bustling city and trading port, and for 25 more years everything was Good, the economy was thriving and peeps were thriving.

But that didn't last, im sure no one thought it would

Things started to go downhill pretty quickly, it started with a drought. Crops failed and then came the news the current leader had been stealing tax money. Then his son was put in charge, and he decided that the blame for the drought didn't fall on nature, or a god. It fell on the Rindea who just happened to not be letting them farm the wood in the forest. The city was then split in two over what to do. Well 3, but the other third had left. Which quickly became illegal without permission. What was once called the gods land quickly became another spot in the desert, dust coating every surface and the burnt wood of a once great forest.

Now the two sides are at war, but with limited resources and people to fight it's been 10 years since a battle was fought.

Beliefs, acceptance, ect

Acceptance of things such as gender, sexuality, ect tend to differentiate between areas with the two towns being basically polar opposites

Lofost- they're pretty chill with everything and too broke to care or enforce any laws against things diversity. They're residents tend to be accepting of different species

Dusar- they aren't chill at all, lgbtq+, female, not human, tough luck buddy your rights have officially been snatched and you're chill with it probably cause everyone else is. Also you're dirt poor unless you were born into one of 3 military families

Mijx- a word meaning "land of the gods." In the earlier days Kyonos was called this by outsiders

Lofost- what the town/city on the side of the old lake away from the forest is called, the more peaceful and poverty struck town

Dusar- the city on the opposite side of the lake, they were the ones that sided with tearing down the forest for wood.

Kyonos- the name of the city before it split in two and the area in general

Rindea- a humanoid species with healing powers, commonly believed to be symbols of good luck and health. Main feature is their antlers
