on the way, the two meet mingi. hoseok received a call and asked mingi to take namjoon to the cafe.

"...you're min yoongi, right?"

as soon as those words came out of namjoon's mouth, he was harshly grabbed by his collar and dragged behind the cafe. yoongi threw him against the brick wall and layed his hand onto namjoon's throat, squeezing it.

"say at least one word to anybody about me and you'll end up just like sooyuk. nobody will ever suspect a thing - a poor young man who decided to kill himself because he couldn't handle living a life without his best friend."

"s-stop... i..." namjoon tried speaking but the lack of air and the pressure on his neck prevented him from doing so.

"tell me the truth, why are you here with hoseok? what did you plan on doing?" yoongi's voice sounded devil-like.

"let me go..." namjoon whispered and yoongi lessened his grip, but didn't let go fully. "he... hoseok brought me here to ask about sooyuk..."

"and you thought you could tell him everything?"

"no... I was scared and I didn't want to go with him, I didn't plan on telling him anything, I swear." he spoke softly. "you've threatened me enough that day, and it's been two years, you think I'd decide to tell anybody anything right now?"

"how am I supposed to know what you're thinking?" yoongi let go of namjoon and wiped his hands while namjoon frantically gasped for air.
"I don't want you anywhere near hoseok, I don't want you to speak to him about sooyuk. if he asks, tell him lies, say you don't remember - anything but the truth."

"I know that, I told you I never planned on telling him anything."

"he is a detective, so he can easily find things out. it's dangerous being close to him..." yoongi spoke but namjoon didn't know if it were meant for him, or if he was talking to himself.

"at first I thought I was mistaken, I thought you moved to a different city..."

"I changed my name and started living a new and totally different life... I changed, and things that happened in the past must stay in the past, you hear me?" yoongi questioned darkly and namjoon nodded.

"why don't you just kill me?" namjoon asked as he looked down at the ground.

"kill you? I told you, I don't do that anymore, fuck, I never even did that in the past! I've never killed anybody in my life." he exhaled. "but there are numerous other things I can do, I just need you to stay quiet."

"but sooyuk–"

"I was the accomplice, in case you don't remember, I wasn't the one who killed sooyuk, you saw it yourself."

"goodness, can you believe it? another suicide..." hoseok mumbled as he took a seat on the bar stool right in front of mingi who was preparing a drink.

"again?" mingi asked with sympathy.

"it was hara... and once again it's said to be a suicide. her suicide letter said that she couldn't handle living without sulli... and, it's just a mess." hoseok exhaled loudly, prepping his head with his hands.

"and you don't believe it was a suicide?" he asked.

"I can't say anything for sure right now, I'll have to investigate. there is a hunch, jungkook and I found something the culprit leaves behind after every murder."

"what is it?"

"sorry, can't tell you, hun. this is a private investigation after all." hoseok explained. "anyways, where's namjoon?"

"namjoon? he... left."

"left? what do you mean? to where?"

"he said he had something urgent. I don't know, but he got a text and ran out." mini said nonchalantly.

"oh... what a shame." hoseok frowned.

"yeah... it sure is."

"secretary jeon..." taehyung started speaking while sipping on his champagne.
he was sitting in the dining room while jungkook was setting up the table before dinner. jungkook didn't exactly know how he ended up doing the maid's job from time to time, but then again, sir seokjin constantly fired workers for the littlest bad deed and hired only the ones who were 'perfect'. they weren't even bad deeds, but wiping off the dust clockwise was apparently a greater sin than murder.
jungkook felt safe with taehyung. he was pretty sure seokjin would have fired him long ago, but since he was taehyung's private secretary, taehyung had a bigger possession over the younger.
"what do you know about fan accounts?"

"w-what?" jungkook almost dropped the plate he was holding, but since his back was facing taehyung, the elder didn't get to see jungkook's freaked out face.

"you know, fan accounts on platforms like twitter and instagram?" he said. "they post photos, videos and just a lot of different content about their favorite idols."

"oh, yeah, I've heard about these..." jungkook mumbled and placed the napkins.

"you know my favorite one?" taehyung leaned into his chair and smirked at the younger who kept his eyes away from taehyung's. "chocolattae."

"oh really? that one? it's very popular, even I heard of it... ahaha." jungkook chuckled uncomfortably and wished to disappear for a moment. taehyung wasn't suspecting anything, right?

"should I meet up with him?"

"what?"
was he serious?

"I mean, this boy never misses a fan meeting, always attends my concerts. he has over two million followers!" taehyung explained. "wouldn't it be nice of me to just... I don't know, meet up with him and thank him for being so supportive and-"

"I don't think it's a good idea." jungkook interrupted.

"oh? why?" taehyung asked and took another sip of his champagne to cover the grin on his lips.

"w-well, um... he is very busy... maybe, you know?" jungkook muttered.

"maybe I should give him a call then." tae said nonchalantly and opened twitter. "he has his phone number in his bio."

jungkook looked at his phone that was peering out of his pocket and felt his heart sink into his stomach. if taehyung calls him right now, his identity will be revealed and he will get fired! while thinking of how to unnoticeably mute his phone, jungkook turned his head only to see taehyung's expression that was completely different from the one he had a minute ago.

"mr. kim?" jungkook came up to the elder and looked over his shoulder to see the news article that popped up on his phone: "another suicide of a kpop idol hara. what was the cause of this young girl's death..."
