Name: Eirin Deaton / Swallow  - meaning 'One who is Dynamic and Restless' in Celtic. Swallow is her mother's last name and is after the bird. This is also one of the bids she finds easiest to shift into. She might end up using her mother's last name instead of her fathers for some reason.

Species: Celtic Druid Shapeshifter.

Background:

Eirin is the daughter of Alan Deaton, the Druid, Vet and Scott's boss. Her mother died during childbirth and she has lived with her single father ever since. Deaton also had help from his little sister, Marin Morell, while raising Eirin who is the school counsellor in Beacon Hills High School and former Emissary of the Alpha Pack. Eirin knows about the Supernatural world and is learning under her Father and Aunt how to be a Druid and she has also inherited the ability to Shapeshift which few Druids have been able to do for centuries (I assume since it's not motioned in the series up to where I've watched). Eirin also knew the Hales while Deaton was their Emissary before the fire and remembers them even though she was young at the time and didn't visit them that much. But the news of the fire had affected her as she was close to Talia because of her shape shifting abilities and a few other members of the Hale Pack. Eirin goes to beacon Hill's high school as an ordinary student who seemingly as no idea about the supernatural world and is a very intelligent student who keeps to herself but she does occasionally talk to Isaac, Erica and Boyd before they all became werewolves but mainly didn't talk to anyone and stayed in the background. When Scott gets bitten, Eirin knows exactly what was going on and with the help of her father, she would secretly help Scott and Stiles without them knowing. But with her ability to shape shift and a mysterious alpha running around, as well as Derek, Scott and Stiles believing that her father is the Alpha at one point, the entire situation gets messy. Like her father, she wants to go into medicine when she leaves school however she is more inclined towards human patients than animals.

In the Teen Wolf law, it is believed that the first werewolf was some Greek dude and his fifty sons who were cursed by Zeus after they tried to trick him into eating human flesh as a joke. The important part is that they then went to the Celtic Druid's for help because they had heard that they could 'Shapeshift' which is what I was interested in. 

Apparently, there is an ancient shifter in season 6, however, I haven't gotten that far watching the show yet so I'm not sure.

Eirin can in theory shift into anything but she specialises in animals however, she has to be familiar with the animal to turn into it. So she can't turn into an elephant out of the blue. She has to have had practice shifting into said animal and to have at least seen one before.

the animals she is able to tur into or is best at turning into would be; Birds, Cat's, Mountain Lion's, Wolves, Dog's, Coyote's, mice, snakes, etc. Animals she would have encountered in Beacon Hill's. She won't turn into all of these but in theory, she would be able to. As for the wolves, that is thanks to Talia being able to shift into a wolf and Eirin seeing her in that form more than once as well as her exposure to dog's at the vet.

Perhaps Eirin was close with Cora and or Laura before the Hale fire.

Their is a good chance that Eirin could end up being mistook as a werewolf by people who don't know her.

Maybe with Eirin walking around the school in her asteral form for so long, she could have appeared every now ad then and had been noticed by some students so she becomes like a ghost of the school and people think the place is haunted so she plays along and haunts people and plays tricks. A lot of people just think its a joke but Eirin can still have fun scaring them.

Love Interests?

- Derek Hale ~ Because of Eirin's ability to shape shift, she could be mistaken as the alpha. Or the two of them could have met when they were younger when Talia was alive since Derek doesn't seem to remember Deaton. Eirin also has more knowledge then Scott an Stiles as well as a connection to the Hale Pack so she may side with Derek from the get go.

- Stiles Stilinski ~ After Scott get's bitten, Eirin would end up making herself known more often as before this, a lot of people didn't even know her name. Perhaps because of this, Stiles could become intrigued to find out who she really is. Like a mystery he wants to solve. Along with her already knowing about the supernatural world an helping them discreetly, and a supernatural herself, she would catch his eye and easily fit in with the group.

- Scott McCall ~ Since Eirin is the daughter of his boss, there are more chances for them to be together and with her already knowing about the supernatural world, she could easily help him and give him advice, maybe becoming the emissary to the McCall Pack. Eirin's dream to become a Doctor could also affect their relationship as she may know Melissa McCall if she ends up helping out at the hospital or just going to her for advice.

- Isaac Lahey ~ Eirin isn't popular and blends into the back ground but she is very observant so she could easily notice Issacs's bruises and realise that they aren't just from Lacrosse. With her Medical Knowledge, she could end up helping Isaac patch up his wounds and give him a place to stay when his father get's too much for him to handle, giving him a valid excuse to get out of the house without risk of punishment.
