A/N So my friends yelled at me. And cried. Which was my goal. But then they wouldn't shut up abt another chapter so here we are.

Cuori's POV
~Later that night~
It was crazy to think that just a few hours ago Spot and I were at school, putting on a production. Now we were in a hospital because Oscar is a dick. There. That's my excuse. Oscar is a dick.

Jack had stayed with me and was still here. He was just holding me. That's the best thing about Jack, he just holds you. He didn't talk or kiss me or look at me, just held me. And I felt safe. Which was all I needed right now.

"Are you the ones who called the ambulance?" An older man asked. He was in a doctor's uniform and carried a clipboard, with glasses balanced on the tip of his nose.

"Yes." Jack answered for me. I was just staring straight ahead, not wanting to answer. I still couldn't comprehend what had happened.

"What is your relation to Sean?" The doctor questioned.

"I'm a good friend, she's his girlfriend." Jack answered. The doctor nodded. Girlfriend. He did kiss me, but that didn't mean anything. Ah, who am I kidding? I just can't let it be true in my mind apparently.

"He is asleep and the recovery may be rough, but you can see him now if you need to. He's in room 305."

I shakily stood up, Jack following me. "It'll be ok, C."

We headed to the elevator and to the third floor, room 305, like the doctor told us. I gasped upon entering the room. Spot was hooked up to multiple things that I didn't even know exsisted. I recognized the beeping of the heart monitor though. He looked like he was in pain, even in his sleep, and a thick cloth covered right where he was shot. Jack steadied me as we approached the bed. I couldn't keep it together anymore. I dropped to the ground, Spot's hand in mine and sobbed.

~Three days later~
"Kid? Hey. Ya been in here for three days." Jack's voice came from the doorway.

"I brought ya some food. From Medda's."  He set down the to-go box next to many others on the table. I hadn't let go of Spot's hand in three days. I hadn't eaten much either, and I'd barely slept. I'd cried so much I couldn't cry anymore. Oscar was in serious trouble for pulling a weapon at the rumble. We were all in decent trouble for even having a rumble in the first place.

"Kid, can ya at least try and eat?" I shook my head. Jack wrapped his arms around me and I fell into them, crying once more.

"Cuori, please." Jack practically begged. I just nodded, taking some fries and nibbling them. Nothing else though. I was aware this wasn't the healthiest option, but I couldn't bring myself to do anything.

"He hasn't woken up. I haven't heard his voice or seen his smile in three days, Jack." I looked up at him. "Three days."

Spot's mom came and saw him. She tried to get me to come home, even with her. I decided not to. Maybe Franny needed me right now. Spot's mom was an absolute mess. Franny
understood that her brother was hurt, but she didn't know he was shot.

He gave me a look of pity, placing a kiss on my forehead.

"I'm sorry kid, I couldn't imagine. If this was you, I- I would be doin' what you are doin' now." He confessed.

I nodded. "I know. I'm just...waiting. Waiting for him to hold my hand, and tell me it's ok." I sighed, my voice cracking.

"It'll happen soon, kid. I promise." Jack stayed for a few more hours like he usually did. I hadn't seen Shiner, Race, or Albert yet. Just Jack. He'd always been there for me, like an older brother. He made me promise I would actually go home tonight.

And I would have, if I hadn't felt a squeeze.

"Hey, C." I started to cry again, but this time tears of happiness. Spot's eyelids were still drooping, but he was awake, and that was all that I needed.

"God, you look like hell." I laughed before leaning down quickly and kissing him, careful not to touch his chest. That probably hurt a lot.

"Don't... Dont. Do that, ever again, ok?" I stuttered out, overwhelmed with happiness.

"Can't make any promises. Someone tries to hurt you and I may have to step in." He chuckled.

I smiled. "I can't believe you."

"I can't believe I have you." He kissed my hand.

"Ah such a charmer, Spot Conlon." I teased.

He shrugged lightly, chuckling. "When was the last time you slept?" He questioned me. I looked down at the floor, not responding. "Or ate?"

"I- haven't really gotten around to that." I whispered.

"Do that. Take care of yourself. Then come back. I'll be here, I promise." I nodded, kissing him goodbye once more before heading out of the hospital.
