What do you mean, Avey?

Ava:

Connor. Don't call me, Avey. I'm being serious.

Connor:

Okay, but I haven't been distant.

Ava:

Then tell me why do you keep pushing me away.

Connor:

Because Ava. I'm not ready to tell you something.

Ava:

Connor, I'm your friend. I'll listen no matter what and I won't let it ruin our friendship.

Connor:

I know, Ava.

Ava:

Okay. I'll see you later.

Connor:

Yeah, okay.

---Later---

Connor:

I know you're in surgery with your phone on mute so I'll just tell you why I've been distant.

Dr Ava Bekker, I love you. I love you with all my heart and I never want to lose you.

I understand if you don't return my feelings. I just hope our friendship doesn't change.

---After surgery---

Ava went looking for Connor after she finished the surgery. She had read his texts and wanted to find him.

Ava spotted Connor across the ED. She came up to him and gave him a hug.

She told him how she feels about him.
