Maddie's pov

The waitress came over & took our orders. I ordered a chicken salad with a strawberry smoothie. I was looking around when a guy around my age winked at me from across the room. I brushed it off & turned my attention back to my table.

"Maddie & I are gonna be really close, right Maddie?" Sarina said putting her hand on my shoulder, gripping it.

"Right." I forced out as the food came.

After I finished up my food, I dismissed myself to the washroom. Dad made Sarina come with me so I wouldn't get 'lost'. I was checking my hair in the mirror when Sarina came up behind me.

"Okay, you better not screw things up between me & your dad. I don't like you, don't even try anything with me. If you do, some serious shit will go down between you & I." She said glaring at me really hard.

I moved away, scared & walked out the washroom as Sarina followed behind. Everyone getting ready to go back home.

▪▪Back at home▪▪

Lia, Andrea & Sarina were going to stay over tonight. I ran up to my room & changed into my pajamas. I grabbed a washcloth & tried scrubbing the makeup off my face. After finally getting it off, I climbed into bed falling asleep.

"I was in a beautiful field with all the guys. We were laughing & talking when there was a clash of Thunder. I looked up & the blue sky was being covered by dark grey clouds. Everyone ran, leaving me behind. I tried to scream for them to wait for me but no sound came out. I heard someone laugh from behind me so naturally I turned around. It was Sarina. She held up a pistol & loaded it, aiming it directly at my face. I tried to get up & run but I couldn't move my legs. She smirked & said "Surprise bitch." before pulling the trigger."

I woke up, shrieking plus I was shaking. It was so vivid & it felt so real.

"It was just a dream, just dream." I mumbled to myself as I heard people run into my room.

"Maddie are you OK?" I heard dad ask.

I look over and see everyone in here, including Sarina. She was wearing a oversized tshirt.

"I-I had a nightmare." I said, seeing Sarina smirk out the corner of my eye.

He told everyone that I was okay & that they could go back to bed. Now it was only him & Sarina in here.

"Wanna tell me what it was about?" He asked.

I looked between him to Sarina then back to him. I explained every detail of it & he called Sarina over. He explained what happened & she had a smirk on her face. She gave me a awkward kinda hug.

"Feel better?" He asked.

"Yeah." I lied.

"Okay, goodnight." He said, kissing my forehead before walking out with Sarina.

I laid on my side facing the wall trying not to fall asleep again.

I woke up to blinding sunlight coming through my window. Luckily after my nightmare, I had a dreamless sleep. I got up & went to my closet. I took out my black and white cropped superman baseball tee with my black high waisted shorts. I took my undergarments & clothes to the bathroom to take a hot shower.

After my shower, I brushed my teeth. I turned on my phone & jammed out to Shout it Out while brushing out my hair.

"Just take a shot if you're feelin kinda heavy
Hit the sun with your shades and take a ride in my Chevy
We're tearin' it up, feelin' a rush we're turnin' 'round!
So baby hold on tight, gonna rev it up
Living life on the edge ain't dangerous
We're living it up, pushing our luck, both day and night!"

I pulled my hair into a ponytail & walked out of the washroom. I slipped on my black toms. I looked into my full body mirror & noticed I was wearing all black. I took a selfie & posted it to instagram with the caption being "I'll stop wearing black when they invent a darker color*insert kiss emoji*" I jogged downstairs & sat on the counter.
