Uh oh《36》

Maddie's pov

When we got home, Sam was watching AHS with Kian.

"Hey Maddie. Did you bring me any McDonalds?" He asked wriggling his eyebrows.

"Nope, sorry." I laughed.

"Aw man." He pouted playfully.

I walked over to the stairs and made my way up to my room. I grabbed a book from my favorite book series; The Percy Jackson series. I was on the second book and it's awesome. I flipped to where I left on and took the bookmark out as I began to read.

"Hermes smiled. "I knew a boy once ... oh, younger than you by far. A mere baby, really."
"Here we go again," George said. "Always talking about himself."
"Quiet!" Martha snapped. "Do you want to get set on vibrate?"
Hermes ignored them. "One night, when this boy's mother wasn't watching, he sneaked out of their cave and stole some cattle that belonged to Apollo."
"Did he get blasted to tiny pieces?" I asked.
"Hmm ... no. Actually, everything turned out quite well. To make up for his theft, the boy gave Apollo an instrument he'd invented-a lyre. Apollo was so enchanted with the music that he forgot all about being angry."
So what's the moral?"
"The moral?" Hermes asked. "Goodness, you act like it's a fable. It's a true story. Does truth have a moral?"
"Um ..."
"How about this: stealing is not always bad?"
"I don't think my mom would like that moral."
Rats are delicious, suggested George.
"What does that have to do with the story?" Martha demanded.
"Nothing," George said. "But I'm hungry."
"I've got it," Hermes said. "Young people don't always do what they're told, but if they can pull it off and do something wonderful, sometimes they escape punishment. How's that?"

After I finished up reading my book, I put it back on the shelf above my bed. I grabbed a towel and headed over to the washroom to take a shower. 

After, I quickly blow dried my hair. I was about to leave the washroom when I noticed that I didn't turn off the shower tap off completely. I walked over & turned it off. I slipped and fell, hitting my head. Hard. My head was pounding and my vision became a huge blur. I heard people rush in right before I blacked out.

Connor's Pov

I was playing Mario Kart with Kian and Jc when there was a loud thud. We paused the game and rushed upstairs to the washroom. Maddie was passed out on the floor.

"Guys, call a ambulance, quick!" I shouted, worrying.

Kian immediately dialed the number as Jc and I tried to shake her awake but it didn't work. The ambulance people rushed upstairs and put Maddie on a stretcher and took her downstairs.

"Only one person can ride in the back." A man said looking between the three of us.

"Connor, you go." Kian and Jc said simultaneously.

I hopped in the back as we rushed down the streets of LA to the hospital. I put my head in my hands and sighed. All I hope is that Maddie is okay.

Once we arrived,  Maddie was immediately rushed into a room as I was guided to a waiting area. Kian and Jc came in shortly after, asking for updates.

"They're still in there." I explained.

"It's okay, dude, I called Ricky, Sam and Trevor and they said they were on their way." Kian said patting my back.

A nurse came over & stood in front of us.

"Okay. Who's the parent or guardian?" She asked and I raised my hand.

We walked away from Kian and Jc.

"She has a mild concussion which caused her to fall into a coma." She said as I gasped.

"There's a small chance she won't wake up. Anyways, she might not remember anything or anyone but that's unlikely. Would you like to see her?" She asked and I nodded, motioning for Kian and Jc to follow me.

Maddie's pov

I woke up & tried to open my eyes. I couldn't open them so I tried to move around. I still couldn't.  What the hell is going on? I tried again and again until I heard beeping. I heard multiple people rush in and started to touch me and stuff. Shit. I must be in a hospital. But why?
