~~~~Adora~~~~
I couldn't help but feel a pair of eyes watching us from the shadows. I knew Shadow Weaver was here, I just couldn't find her. That is, if she was here at all. Maybe I was crazy. But then, why would Mira be terrified?
After getting dressed back in our normal clothes, Mira and I walked around Mystacor again, this time making our way to the Hall od Sorcerers. We stopped in front of the darkened statue of Light Spinner.
I gripped Mira's hand tighter and sighed, "You're just a stupid statue." I said, "Pull it together, Adora. There's no way Shadow Weaver can be here. Right, Mira?"
I looked down at Mira who didn't smile like she normally did. Instead, she looked up at me with fear filled eyes and an uneasy expression. She never gave me that expression unless something really scared her.
All of a sudden, as I glanced at our shadows, the darkness began to shift and move on their own.
I gasped and pushed Mira behind me while the shadow took another form. It rose from the ground, a bright red spot on its face glowing right at us before it slammed into me, forcing me to the ground.
I shifted to wrap my arms around Mira, but I felt nothing in my arms.
"Mira!" I shouted looking around to find her, but all I could find was a terrifying sight. The shadow that had attacked me had wrapped its grip around a terrfied Mira. Her eyes were wide as if screaming at me to help her, but she couldn't move. She was frozen like ice.
The shadow looked down at me and then back at Mira, its face etching closer to her while her fear rose bit by bit.
"Let her go now!" I demanded, but the shadow didn't release her. It flew off down the hall with Mira.
I growled in anger and reached for my sword that was attached to my back.
"For the honor of Grayskull!" I shouted quickly and transformed.
I gripped the sword tightly and was about to run doen the halls to find Mira, when a familiar voice cut through the air.
"Hey, Adora." I recoginzed that teasing tone as Catra.
"Catra? Where are you? How did you find me here?" I asked afraid and with haste.
I could hear her playful laughter and her soft footsteps down the hall and running behind the statues.
I looked between the statues.
"Nope." Catra said. I kept moving but I didn't see her, "Getting colder."
"Whatever you're doing, I won't let you get away with taking Mira away from me. Did Shadow Weaver send you?" I said.
"What do you think? Shadow Weaver controls the three of us. She always has. And now, I finally have Mira back." I could hear Catra's footsteps running out the hall.
"Catra, wait." I said running out the hall to catch up with her and to hopefully find Mira.
I ran into the room with the lunar lenses, only to find that no one was there.
"Catra?" I called out, "Mira? Knock on the floor twice if you can hear me."
It was silent for a second.... until I heard the faintest knocks...
Clank.... clank.... it rang through the quiet room.
But then, another voice rang out through the room. Chills ran up my spine as I listened to the horrifying chuckles of Hordak.
I gasped and turned around, pointing my sword at the empty air while Hordak's voice surrounded me along with Mira's tapping.
"The Horde had such high hopes for you, Force Captain." He said, "Disappointing. Does the Rebellion truly think you can save them? How can you protect them when you can't even protect your own child? Nothing can stop the Horde, least of all you."
