11. Dinner

Jennie and Rosé walked downstairs with an awkward silence between them. The blonde wanted to break it, wanted to rewind and go to the moment where she was about to ask Jennie about Them, so that she could stop herself from saying it.

Damn it! Why did my curiosity ruin the moment?!?

- Girls! - Miss Park exclaimed from the kitchen and we looked at her - Dinner's almost ready. Could you put the table, please?

- Of course, Miss Park - Jennie said and quickly paced to the kitchen

Rosé sighed and followed her, but stopped due to a hand on her shoulder, making her look up:

- Hey kiddo - the only masculine presence in the house— Wait no, Joowhangie also counts.. okay scratch that.. the only masculine human in the house, said - I feel like I haven't had a good chance to talk to you abou—

- Oh my god are you going to propose?!?

Tod's eyes widened and he frenetically shook his head. He guided her to the couch and they both sat down:

- Calm down Chaeyoung, I just started dating your mom, I'm not wild enough to propose. Plus, we haven't went to the third basis yet - the blonde made a disgusting face and started blushing - I shouldn't have said that..

- Oh, its f-fine.. - she stuttered - I'm just.. a shy and introvert person, so everything makes me anxious, especially romantic things

- You never had a boyfriend?

- No.. - Rosé scratched her head as she hoped the awkward 'boyfriend' topic would end - But either way, what did you wanna talk about?

He adjusted his position on the couch and looked straight at the teenager, making her feel a little shy:

- It's really nothing special.. I just feel like we never had a chance to know each other.. and it's kinda strange for you to see an unknown man with your mom

- I mean, it doesn't bother me much since my mom seems really happy - he smiled genuinely and Rosé shifted in her seat to have a closer look at the man - But now that you mention it..

Tod furrowed his eyebrows upon watching the cute shy girl have a sort of personality breakthrough:

- As you may know, me and my mom have a strong bond - he nodded - Well, that makes me really protective and I wanna know how you and my mom met and why are you interested in her

He took a deep breath and closed his eyes, just like he was having a nostalgic moment. The tall man opened his eyes and smiled softly:

- Me and your mom met at the airport where she works. I was a mess and I thought that the best thing I could do was leave the country rather than facing my problems. Cris saw me looking madly for my passport and went to cheer me up. Well, things went well and in the same day, I was bold enough to ask for her number. The first thing she revealed in our first date, was your existence - Chaeyoung looked surprised, but looked down with a shy smile - She wanted to make sure that I understood that you were her first priority!

Chaeyoung couldn't hide her white pearls. Her relation with her mom was out of this world. They always had each other's back and were each other's number 1 priority. And it was impossible not to feel happy every time she remembered how lucky she was to have a parent like her mom:

- I think that was the moment I realized she was different from the other women I had date. Every single one of them were so worried in letting me find them interesting, that they forgot that the best part of themselves was their personality - we stayed in silence for a little while and it was possible to hear my mom's voice talking excitedly to Jennie - She's really passionate and I love that about her
