When she entered the building she smelt food. Which smelled especially good seeing how she hadn't eaten today. She then sat at a booth and grabbed a menu.
"What can I get you today?" The waitress asked.
"Can I get the french toast and a coffee?" She answered.
"Good choice, that will be right out," The waitress said with a smile.
"She's right, that is a good choice," A woman said to her.
"Do I know you?" She asked.
"No, I'm Silvie Brett. I'm sorry, it's just, I don't like for us ladies to sit alone. Unless you were waiting for someone, were you waiting for someone?" She stuttered.
"No, you're good. I appreciate you sitting with me-"
"But you want me to go?"
"No, I was going to say that women should take care of other women and I appreciate that you do. And I'm Lori Voight."
"Are you related to Hank Voight?"
"Yes, he is my dad. Why?"
"I just didn't know he had a daughter. Are you from here?"
"I moved a while ago, but I came back for a case."
"A case?"
"Yes, I am working with the district on an abduction case."
"So, your a cop?"
"Something like that."
"Oh, cool. I'm a paramedic at firehouse 51."
"Oh, if I remember correctly, that house always had the nicest crew."
"We like to think so. After you eat, I could show you around, since you said to had been gone for a while."
"That would be nice, thank you."
"Here you go, sweetheart" The waitress said as she gave Lori her food.
"Thank you" Lori said.

"So, what do you want to see first?" Silvie asked.
"Do you think you could show me around the firehouse?" Lori asked.
"Sure thing," She answered.
"Well I will see you there," She said as they got into their cars.
