Part 9

No POV 

We pick up where we left off in the last chapter, with Ainz, Albedo, Y/n, Mia, Jack, and Eva standing before the Mages of the Slane theocracy, their captain raising an eyebrow at the sudden appearance of Ainz before he spoke up 

MC: "And what brings you and your lackeys here, Ainz Ooal Gown?"

Ainz: "We have something of a relationship with those villagers"

MC: "Have you come to beg for their lives, or just your own?

Ainz: "No, No...You misunderstand" 

The wind around the battlefield began to pick up as robes and veils would start to flutter in the wind like capes much to the mages confusion 

Ainz: "I overheard your conversation with the chief warrior. You really have a lot of balls, don't you?"

MC: "Huh?" 

Ainz: "We spent our precious time and energy saving those people and you brazenly declared your intent to massacre them. I can't imagine anything more offensive" 

Y/n: "I mean, i could've spent this time doing something more productive or resting in the Hot springs" 

MC: "You're both being rather brazen yourselves, for a meager magic caster and his pets. So, what do you plan to do?" 

Ainz: "Offer your pitiful life to me and there will be no pain. However, If you refuse, I swear here and now, you will die painfully and in despair for your prudence" 

Hearing that, the Magic captain kept his smug grin as he outstretched his hand and gave mages their commands 

MC: "Have the angels attack these fools!" 

Suddenly, two Angels rushed towards Ainz while he stood still and took their attack, two swords made of light piercing his body appearing to have dealt a fatal blow from the Mages' point of view, their captain smiling 

MC: "Is that all you had? I expected more after a bluff like that" 

However, instead of Ainz' body collapsing to the ground dead, to their shock, the Angels were starting to be pushed away from Ainz, revealing that although he had been stabbed through the torso, he was completely unharmed 

Ainz: "Did you not hear me? I said to offer your life without resistance. by the time i'm through with you, you'll wish you had listened" 

Mage 1: "A trick!" 

Mage 2: "Yes, it has to be!" 

Ainz: "I take physical nullification, it's a passive skill that completely nullifies the physical attacks of lower level enemies" 

Ainz then gripped the two Angels in his hands tighter before slamming them onto the ground, killing both of them in one shot

Ainz: "The fact that you can use spells and summons from Yggdrasil intrigues me. I want to know how they exist here and how you could have learned them. but for now, I'll focus on killing you, It's my turn. You wanted a massacre... you'll get one!" 

MC: "Don't just stand there! Attack him! Hurry!" 

As Everyone watched the Angels begin to slowly move in closer to our protagonists, Ainz spoke up 

Ainz: "Albedo, stand back" 

Albedo: "Lord"

With a nod of her head, Albedo disappeared in the blink of an eye as the last thing that could be seen of her was a blur moving backwards, away from Ainz. Once she was gone, Ainz then used one of the many spells in his arsenal known as 'Negative burst' to wipe out every angel that was on the battlefield in a single hit while Y/n and the other Revenants just watched from a few feet back, enjoying the show while sitting on the ground with their weapons planted into the ground behind them for them to rest against. Once again, the Mages were all shocked and horrified at what they were witnessing
