Prompt: Alex and Dan are childhood friends and Alex decides it's time to confess his feelings

3rd person POV

Alex was sitting down at his desk and sketching his childhood friend Dan. Alex liked Dan but he would never admit it, but Alex decided he would finally confess his feelings he just had to figure out how to.

Alex decided to write a note to Dan confessing his feelings to Dan at the end of the day he would just have to deal with whatever Dan had to say about it tomorrow

Alex bumped into Dan while walking to his locker to put the letter in it

"Ahh-" Alex said falling to the ground

"Oh, Alex are you ok?" Dan holds out a hand and pulls Alex up, Alex nods and walks away

Dan sighs and starts to walk home

~Time skip~

Dan sits on his couch trying to figure out what to do. Dan didn't have a lot to do at his house he would usually go over to Alex's house to hang out with him but lately, Alex has been avoiding him Dan sits up when he hears a knock on his door to see Alex on the other side of the door

"Hey, Dan!" Alex hugs Dan and goes sits on his couch

Alex recently thought that the note was a stupid idea and he would just have to confess in person Dan closed the door and sat down next to Alex

"So Alex what brings you here?"

Alex bites his lower lip "I just wanted to hang out.."

Dan puts his arm around Alex and grabs the Tv remote "Wanna watch some Netflix?" Dan says looking at Alex

"Oh, sure!" Alex wraps his arms around Dan's torso and lays his head on Dan's chest and watches Dan look through the different movies. Dan blushes a bit but quickly snaps out of it he couldn't love his best friend...Could he?

"Any suggestions?"

"No anything is fine" Alex buries his face into Dan's chest hiding his blush, Dan picks a random movie and starts to watch it

"D-Dan.." Alex takes his head off of Dan and looks at him

"Yes, Alex?" Dan pauses the movie and looks down at Alex and they make eye contact

"I-I..." Alex stares into Dan's eyes trying his best to focus and get his words right

"I-" A long silence follows as Dan starts to look confused

"I l-like you like a-a lot," Alex says looking at Dan's expression "Y-you like me..?" Alex nods

"Y-You..." Dan tries to process what Alex just said He liked him? HE LIKED HIM?!

"A-Alex I-"

"No, I get it you don't like me back it's fine i- We can still be friends hopefully..." Dan looks at Alex worried "N-No I l-like you too I just wasn't expecting it.."

"So you like me back!?" Alex says his eyes lighting up Dan simply nods and smiles

"C-Can I kiss you?" Alex says putting his hand on Dan's thigh Dan smiles some more and nods again slowly leaning in, Alex puts his hands on both sides of Dan's face and pulls him into a kiss. They kiss for a while before stopping to breath, They smile at each other, Alex wraps his hands around Dan again and falls asleep in his arms
