Percy opened the door to the top floor of Valdez, walking in to see Leo sitting at the barstool he had with a Dr Pepper in his hands.
"Hey percy, whatcha doin' here?" The elfish boy asked, turning his curly haired head to greet the SIREN.
"I wanted to see a friend," he said, sitting down next to him and pouring him some whiskey.
"You drink underage?" Leo questioned, looking at his friend in a new light.
Percy shrugged, "after the days I've had it helps a lot. You wouldn't believe half that stuff that's going on in my life,"
Leo smirked, "try me,"
"Well," Percy sighed and began to tell his tales, "I feel like there's no way to go back. There's no way to be me anymore, that it's too late for me,"
"It's never too late for you. If you want to change, you can change,"
"You haven't dome the things I've done. If you heard even a fraction of what I've done you'd shut me out forever,"
"I wouldn't. Percy wether you like it or not, your stuck with me," Leo said, smiling at his friend.
Percy shook his head, "but that's the thing, I'm not,"
"What do you mean? Percy, I'm here for you. I always will be,"
"No you won't. You'll get close to me and wind up dead. I'll start caring about you than have to kill you. You'll be the reason I smile and then later on the reason I frown," percy stood up to leave.
"I will always be here for you. And nothing you can say or do can change that," Leo said, standing up to look percy dead in the eyes.
"But that's the thing, the entire reason we're friends could change that. And even if you liked me for me, you'd see me as a monster,"
"No I wouldn't,"
"Yes you would! Don't you see, Leo? There are some things you just can't come back from!"
"Like what?" Leo asked, voice rising as well.
Without thinking, Percy presses his lips against Leo and kissed softly for a small moment before pulling away. "Like that. I can't come back from things like that,"
Leo moves closer and looked up at the SIREN, "why would you want too?"
Something within percy reminded him of Grover, of every time he got close to someone. How he always had to kill.
"I-I should go," Percy said, reaching for his sea green hoodie. He let out a few low hums, "you forgot the kiss ever happened,"
He made his way out the doors and towards his fathers. If he was gonna protect his family, he needed more than just nicos help.
