Percy didn't bother to use his SIREN powers to get through the security,. They knew him well enough to let him in.
Poseidon was looking at his laptop and writing down some notes when the doors opened to reveal his son.
"Dad," Percy greeted, for once not playing games.
"Perseus," Posiedon raises an eyebrow.
"i need your help,"
"With what? Killing everyone? I don't think so,"
"I want to save everyone,"
Poseidon gave a loud snort, not bothering to look up from his computer screen, "Yeah right,"
"I mean it. I don't want to have to kill my friends. I want to be me, not whatever mo-Aphrodite says I am. You helped turn piper around, you can help me too,"
Something in the young boys voice stirred something in Posiedon. It sounded broken but ready to be fixed. Instead of the usual cold and playful tone, Percy sounded like a kid.
Posiedon shut his laptop, "how do I know this isn't one of your tricks?"
"Born from the angels, right? And if your an angel then you'll know,"
"Well then I suppose we need to figure something out about your mother. What caused this change anyways?"
Percy took a sharp breath, letting it out shakily, "dad, everyone I could've been close with is dead and I murdered them. I don't want to have to murder them anymore,"
"It was Grover, wasn't it?"
"How-how did you know Grover?"
Posiedon gave a sad smile, "the young boy stopped by a few days before his....time passed. He told me to shut down the hunt for a siren. Told Athena the exact same thing. He seemed passionate, you meant a lot to him,"
"He meant a lot to me," Percy said, looking at the ground while remembering his friend. He glanced up, sea green eyes locking with his father, "dad. Why did I kill him?"
"It's how you were raised. Habits are hard to break,"
"So now my habit is killing? I don't want to kill! I told you that! And if habits are hard to break than what do I do? What if I kill you? I don't want to kill you. Dad,"
Percys voice sounded broken as every horrible thing he's ever done flooded through him. Posiedon moves towards him and wrapped his arms around his son.
"Shh, it'll be okay. It'll be okay," Posiedon whispered.
Percy calmed down a moment later, both remaining silent as they stared at the ground before the teenager looked up. "How do we defeat her?"
"I don't know,"
"How did you do it? I know mo-Aphrodite. She would've kept you around. So how'd you do it?"
"The only reason I snapped out of it was because I had a son who needed me. So I made an arrangement, she would raise you after I got the first three years,"
"But we don't have anything special enough to snap anyone out of it. So it's a dead end,"
"I'm afraid so. Who else knows your a SIREN and that you want to be good?"
"Nico Di Angelo. But I need to tell Leo Valdez and Thalia Grace,"
"Okay, we will devise more of a plan tomorrow after you tell them. Make sure not to use your powers. Goodbye Perseus,"
Percy nodded and walked towards the door before stopping for a small moment and turning around.
"It's Percy,"
