Yamaguchi liked Shoyo's twin, {Male Name}, who was a setter and an inch taller than Shoyo. He would always help the managers give the water bottles and towels to the team. In grades, he is the exact opposite of Shoyo so that means he has higher grades and never tardy nor absent. But, he was suddenly absent for a week.
Yamaguchi was confused on why the male was absent and the other twin wasn't that bubbly. It seems that everyone in the team noticed that change of behavior of the sun. He would space out and sometimes forget to spike.
Daichi or Suga would ask Shoyo about his behavior or about {Male Name} but he wouldn't answer. Practice was finally done and Shoyo went to the hospital to check on his twin.
But, something was wrong... the male's hair was gone and the male was tired. Shoyo went to his twin and asked "{Male Name}, what happened to your hair...?".
The other twin looked at his twin with sorrow and responded "I have cancer". Hinata widened his eyes and couldn't believe that.
"Your joking right?" Hinata asked with tears on the end of his eyes. {Male Name} answered "Why would I joke with that matter? Of course not" and Shoyo started to cry. Watching his twin cry, {Male Name} began to cry too.
Few days later, Shoyo had gained deppresion and {Male Name}'s case worsen day by day.
Yamaguchi wanted to confess his feeling after the next week of the twin's absence but he was absent again. After a week later, Coach Ukai and Takeda received bad news and decided to tell the team after practice.
After practice, Coach Ukai sighed and decided to spill the beans. Coach Ukai waited for the team to gather around him.
When they were in the places, Coach Ukai straightened up and said "We have bad news...". The team had a face of confusion while Shoyo had a widened expression.
Coach Ukai continued "{Male Name}'s cause of absence was cancer and he has passed away" and the team except Hinata had a widened expression. Shoyo was in the verge of tears and Yamaguchi looked at Shoyo with a shocked expression.
Shoyo nodded started to cry and Suga tried to reassure Shoyo and himself. Yamaguchi was given by a letter by Takeda and started opening the letter.
'Dear Yamaguchi,
I might be dead already when this was given and I just wanted to tell that I love you. It's okay to cry because that's how we show sadness. Have a wonderful future and move on from the past.

That's were Yamaguchi loose it, he cried and Tsukkishima, who had a normal face but in the inside is sad that his future boyfriend died, patted the his childhood friend's back.
