They made her believe she was useless
They made her believe she was worthless.
They made her believe
She had no purpose in life...
No talent.
With time, she agreed with them.
She let what they said to her
Sink into her brain.
She believed she was worthless.
She believed she was useless.
She believed she had no talent.
But little did she know that
She was a girl of many talents.
She did not know that
Within her lied a girl,
A gifted girl.
A multi-talented girl.
But she failed to see that part of her.
She recognized the external part of her
Which she she saw as useless.
She recognized the external part of her,
The part everyone saw.
She failed to look within.
She judged the taste of the cake by its icing
And not by tasting the cake itself.
She judged it by the icing...
Just like the others.
If only she looked within...
If only she saw that fire in her...
That needed a little fuel to burn...
She'd still be alife...
