*5 years later*

It's been 5 years. Carter and I got married and now have a four-year-old daughter named Allison and a son on the way. Did we have our arguments? Yes. But did we grow together because of them? Absolutely. Our love was something indescribable. But I guess that's the best and worst thing about love. You have so much of it you can barely describe it or express it in words.

If you really love someone, expressing those feelings through words can be difficult. True love will literally make you feel weak in the knees and unable to speak. Maybe that's the best kind of love- when the other person makes you fall in love so fully that you can't think properly.

Everyone is human, and no one is perfect. And at one point in my life, I thought I would never make it this far in my life. Never in a million years would I think I would get a fairy tale ending. I have parents that love me, a non-biological brother who visits every chance he gets, soon to be two amazing children, and a husband that loves me beyond comprehension.

If there's one thing I've learned from everything that has happened to me, it's to never settle for less than you're worth. If you want something, you go out there and fight like hell for it. Most importantly, no matter what your situation is. No matter how bad it is, you have to fight for yourself. Yes, maybe you'll have someone in your corner fighting for you too. But if you want out of your situation, you have to fight for it. Fight for what you want. For what you deserve. And don't for one second think you aren't worth fighting for. Because if I thought that way, I wouldn't be here. I have been mentally and physically abused by an ex-boyfriend, kidnapped, lied to, nearly raped on multiple occasions, shot, and tortured, and I can tell you, there were many times I wanted to give in. To stop fighting. I figured the world would be just fine without me. But you can't think like that.

Fight for what you want.

And trust me, you're worth it.

I promise.
