Mateo's pov
once i finished showering. I headed downstairs and seen mom reading a book while dad was in his office.
mateo- you good
Mom-yea just thinking
mateo- about
mom- your sister
she sighed. I grabbed my glass of water and sat next to her
mateo- mom, im sorry but their's a change she's actually dead. We all miss her, buh you have to let go
Mom- how do i let go
she said as she closed her book and looked at me in the eyes. I stayed quiet.
mateo- i-i
Mom- you dont. i think your friend is our daughter
mateo- what?! no she isn't
mom- her eyes, her smile, she- she reminds me of karla. Isn't it a coincidence she's named karla too
mateo- just because she reminds you of karla doesn't mean she is karla. And their's a lot of people out their named karla.
i said and got up the couch. i walked upstairs and headed to my room. I finished a bit of school then went to sleep.

couple days later karla's pov
Mom- i think we should tell he-
mariano- no!
Mom- eventually she's gonna find out
Mariano- she wont, hopefully
I heared as i was walking down the stairs
Karla- find out what
i said as i sat down and grabbed an orange
Mom- um, what are you talking about, karla
karla- you know what im talking about mom
i said opening the orange
Karla- im not dumb, theirs something going on
mariano- it's nothing big really, just some bill payments
Karla- uh-huh just some bill payments
Mom- yea, just some bill payments. And your aunt's coming to visit you later
I nodded my head as i put an orange in my mouth. After a couple mins mom and dad went to work leaving me alone so i started cleaning.
Hours later
The doorbell rung, i opened it revealing my aunt ceila.
Karla- auntt
I said as i hugged her
ceila- i bought you a little something
she said handing me a small box. she sat down in the living room as i closed the door and sat next to her. I opened the box revealing a bracelet.
Karla- it's gorgeous thank you
Ceila- your welcome. So tell me how have you been
Karla- ive been good actually
i said smiling. After talking for hours, mom had finally came home.
Ceila- any boy you like
she said as mom started paying some bills
Karla- their is this one boy, his name is mateo polibio and-
Mom- you should go to bed, it's late
she said, i turned around and she gave me the stare
Karla- goodnight aunt
i said as i hugged her and walked upstairs buh before i got into my room i heard them talk
ceila- you can't keep doing this to her
Devin- im doing it for her safety
and then i walked into my room and fell asleep.

Devin's pov
ceila- is that what you call safety, yea you might have raised her but you took her away from her biological parents
Devin- okay an-
Ceila- i promise everyone's gonna find out sooner or later
she said. She grabbedher purse and stormed out the house

Ceila's pov
Once i left i got in my car and drove to a park and dialed a number.
kairi- hello?
ceila- kairi it's ceila
Kairi- what do you wa-
Ceila- dont hang up it's important
i said before he hung up
Kairi- 5 mins
Ceila- i know where y/n's daughter is....
