Sam pulls over to a near-by rest stop 24-hour diner sitting in the middle of the Mojave Desert road. The restaurant is designed like an old-fashioned american diner built in the 90's.

Sam takes off her black jacket, and begins to shiver despite the diner's heater. She looks up at the television hanging from the ceiling. It's a live report of the highway chase that happened only hours prior.

...

"Now, we interrupt your regular programming for a live report of the latest Demon attack, only happening at around 11:00 tonight. Now, bringing to you live, our world-renowned reporter, Tina Alissandra. Live at Channel 8 News!"

Tina: Coming in live, we here at Channel 8, along with several police officers, journalists, and agents of the Federal Investigation Bureau, are currently at the California State Highway, where a convoy of Demons fought against the FIB and multiple police.

As you can see from behind here, a helicopter, presumably owned by the Demons had been destroyed, and is now being put out by the Fire Department. According to the police who witnessed the event, the helicopter was destroyed by a Demon himself, preventing any of the officers to continue pursuing the Demon convoy.

The highway chase went on for twenty-seven minutes before being barricaded by the helicopter. Even after the chase ended, a police barricade was supposedly going to stop the Demon convoy from progressing, however; when police arrived at the scene, the entire barricade had been destroyed, and numerous dead bodies lined the desert road.

The demon convoy unfortunately escaped. The chase itself did not end without casualties either.

According to the confirmation from the Federal Investigation Bureau and the California Police Department, out of the seventy combined officers and agents that were sent on the mission:

Seventeen made it out without any injuries.

Fifteen received minor injuries and bruises.

Twenty-eight however; are critically-injured, and are all being driven to the nearest hospital.

Sadly, two police officers, and one FIB Agent were killed on the spot.

And seven are currently missing...

Sacrifice is not without justice either. Out of all of the Demons who were fighting in the convoys, we have confirmed so far that:

Four had injuries, and were arrested on the spot.

Ten were critically injured, and are being brought to the hospital.

Two were caught attempting to escape, and were arrested, being brought in for questioning.

And only two Demons had been killed. Both were inside of the helicopter, and were immediately killed upon crashing.

These horrifying events have this reporter questiong the safety of our nation, Demon attacks and raids become more common as the days go by, and the Federal Investigation Bureau seems no closer in solving these cases. Fear has been invoked in the country, and according to a survey conducted by us here at Channel 8: 52% of citizens are too afraid to leave indoors because of the Demons.

How will this unprecedented attack affect our country in the long run? Will we be doomed to fear the Demon attacks forever? We will continue to bring in updates from the Federal Investigation Bureau as they come.

...

A waitress comes out of the kitchen and stares at Sam watching the news.

Waitress: Now don't worry about those reports now, sugar. The media just really likes scaring its viewers y'know...
