I hate seeing you, because you bring back the feelings I tried so hard to forget

He looked at you because you were mumbling something

"Did I say that out loud..?"
You thought to yourself

"Ah,, It's nothing"

Suna was still a bit worried, though he didn't know what really happened between your past and your present,, but all that really matters is that you're here. By my side

"After practice.. meet me at the back of the school"
He nerviously said, he looked away because you looked at him confused. That made him flustered and immedietly regretted what he said..

"Ah.. sure!"
You got a little bashful because it was the first time you saw him being shy and flustered,, it was quite cute

"Those weirdos are really something, no?"

[ After Practice ]

Rough day I might say,, sigh. You were cleaning up and helping the others to pick up balls. As you put one in the basket, someone dragged you by behind "Come with me"

"A-Akaashi..? N-no! I need to see Suna.."
You stuttered, you forcefully took back your hand and stopped him. You both just stood there as the wind blows

"Sad to see how many friends turned into strangers this year" he mumbled

"You were so innocent back then"
He said

"Please, delete the old version of me in your head. I'm not her anymore" you were about to tear up, but you need to stay strong and raise your head

"I can see that now, just think twice about what happened"

"Then, i'm sorry I mistook all our laughs, sweet messages, and inside jokes. I'll think twice before wasting my time"

His eyes widened, he didn't thought that you could say something like that. He knew, in that moment, that wasn't the sweet and innocent girl he met in the past.

"I'm.. sorry, I know what I did and.."

"Yet you knew it would hurt me.. But somehow that didn't stop you"
You exclaimed in a fit of anger

"You hate me that much ha.."

"I don't hate you, I've just lost respect and have nothing more to say to you"

Suna was just standing at the back, leaning on the door, tapping on his phone. He heard everthing,,

"Say, where's senpai?"
Ohta said. Suna pointed outside without any replies and just continued to scroll on his phone.

Ohta peeked outside the gym to look for you, he saw you and approached you but didn't notice who you were with.

"Y/N-senpai! Someone's waiting for y.."

"O-Ohta..! Hehe.. Let's head in"
You grabbed his arm and was about to drag him into the gym but,,

"You go in without me, I'll be there in a sec"
He whispered. You let him go, leaving him with akaashi. They let the wind pass by before they speak.

"Ohta, about what hap-"

"You pushed her away when she didn't want to be away from you"

"I just.. don't think I deserved it, alright!"

"That's the problem! You don't think you deserve it so you ruin it!"

He walked away with anger and fear in his eyes, as soon as he stepped foot in the gym he immedietly ran and hugged you. You hugged him back and whispered "it's just one day"

I watched my friends leave my life, and the worst part is.. that I felt like I deserved it.

Everyone waved goodbye to the team, except you. You just stayed inside the gym waiting for them, you linger with your fingers and look around because you felt uneasy,,

"Akaashi, you were a bit off today"
Bokuto said, patting his back

"Ah.. I'm okay now"
He said, looking down

[ Akaashi's POV ]

He knew he'd regret going, but somehow he didn't let this opportunity slide. I'm glad that I got to see them again. Yet I thought I would get to talk to them and be friends again, but no,, they've changed, she changed. You can see it in her eyes, feel it in her touch, and hear it in her tone. She's not the same, and she's never coming back.

"Akaashiiii did you get to talk to your bestie??"
Bokuto exclaimed

"We're not friends"
He said

"But,, didn't you guys used to be best friends?"

A simple sentence. But it breaks my heart everytime

Bokuto just chuckled and said
