Chapter 31

(Lucas's POV)
"Let's go" I say hopping out of the truck with some of my gang. We found Callie's location for that moron that shot up the fight club

"Section three with me" whisper yelled Zack to a group of members before heading over to the back of the house

It was a normal looking family home, but sometimes that is never what it really is like on the inside. We push throw the front door and see some men in the living room. They shot up, but group two jumped throw the windows taking them out quickly. I headed for the downstairs as the group goes to search the rest of the house. I spot Zack standing in a small hallway with three doors. They were heavy metal doors. Callie must be in one, why is she here? Was going throw my head

"She's got to be in one of the rooms" I say as Zack walks up to a door and tried to open it

"Cash. Get down here with your stuff" Cash ran down and started setting up to open the doors. There was sudden pounding on two of the doors. The third one at the end of the hall was quiet

"Quickly Cash" rushes Zack

"Almost got it" the door to the right clicked open and a girl about eighteen ran out and Zack caught her

"Hey, hey. It's ok, you're safe" she stopped and started crying hugging him

"Thank you, thank you" she thanked

"Travis come get this girl and take her to the hospital" Zack yelled. Cash had gotten the second door on the left open and two girls about sixteen and twenty rushed out quickly

"What were they doing with these girls?" Asked Danial taking the two girls up stairs

"I don't know" there was no noise coming from the third door. Unlike the others. Cash got the door open, and Zack and I walked in

There was a girl sitting on the floor facing the wall. She had ragged tangled reddish black hair. Her clothes were ripped a little and a little too small. Zack slowly walked up to her, but she did not move. Zack stopped

"Callie?" He heads shot up "It's me Zack, I'm here" The girl stood up slowly and turned around. The light that was once in her eyes were gone

"Callie. There's someone waiting for you back home" she eyes flickered to me, before going back to Zack's eyes. She started crying

"Hey, hey" he rushed over and pulled her into a hug. She hugged him back crying harder "let's go" he lifted her up into a bridle style

We walked out of the room. Callie still holding onto Zack's neck for dear life as we walked up the stairs and out of the house. We got into the truck and pulled away as the gang cleaned out the house. As we drove, Callie passed out and was fast asleep

"What happened" was all I asked in a whisper

"I don't know. Only Callie does and those girls" I nod and pull up to the house an hour later. It was pitch black out and the living room light was on.

'Must be up'

I parked and as we were leaving the truck Callie started to wake up. She patted Zack's and tried to get out of his arms. When we got to the front door Zack out her on her bare feet and I opened the door. Ava jumped off the couch look at me, Callie was out of her sight.

(Ava's POV)
I hop up as the door opens look at Lucas. Him and Zack were in the doorway. They moved out of the way and Callie was standing right behind them. She had ripped clothes and no shoes. Her hair was a mess and her face looked like she had given up on life. No light was in her eyes.

As we made eye contact, I gasped covering my mouth with my hands. Without wasting a second, we sprinted towards each other. I wrapped my arms around her, she is doing the same. We were both crying and crushing each other in a bear hug. We pulled away and I grabbed her face

"I thought you were dead" I whispered. She shook her head

"I'm not, I'm her alive. With my best friend" her voice sounded as though she hadn't used her voice in a while

"I'm never letting you go again. A part of me died that night"

"And I'll never leave your side. By the way, happy late birthday" I cried harder and pulled her into another hug

"I love you C"

"I love you too A"

Wow what a roller coaster 🤭 I cried writing this lol😭
