Chapter 41

(Ava's POV)
"3..." everyone started counting down "2...." Lucas and I held the string that was hanging above us "1" We looked at each other and then pulled the string together

"Yes!" I jumped up slightly as pick balloons and confetti rained down on us "I told you it was going to be a girl" I yelled at Callie, I felt arms around my waist

"And she's going to look just like you" Lucas whispered

"Let's hope she doesn't have your personality" I say patting his arm. I look at the group around me and smile

It was Zack, Callie, Tom, and a few gang members I have come to be friends with. If you are wondering where Amy and my parents are, Amy in Main USA. She is going to one of the colleges there, I tried to call her, but did not get an answer. Besides, I have not spoken to her in half a decade, why would she want to speak to me now. As for my parents, they are traveling overseas.

We all head inside for lunch. I sit down at the head of the table with Lucas, we always sat here. According to my doctor I was due in three weeks, which I am happy about. This little girl has been a handful, I rub my stomach as I feel something wet between my legs. I freeze

"What's wrong Ava?" Lucas asks me as I turn to him

"My water broke" I tell him in a whisper

"What? I didn't hear that" he says grabbing my hand

"My water broke" I say louder

After I said that all hell broke loose. Lucas called Callie over and we got our stuff to head out. Lucas drove like a mad man as we drove our way over to the hospital in town, we got there in no time and the nurses got me quickly into a room.

The next eighteen hours were horrible, I think at one point I threatened to kill Lucas if he ever got me pregnant again. Do not get me wrong I love kids and I am going to love this one, but I do not want to be pregnant again. That was the worse nine months ever

"I knew it. She looks just like you" Lucas whispered as I held my beautiful daughter in my arms "She's going to be a spitting image of you"

"Let's hope she's not to strong minded like both her parents" I look up and see Zack with Callie holding some flowers

"Hey bestie" Callie says coming over "What's her name?" She asked as she creased my baby's face

"Amelia Ash Gray" I say before kissing the top of Amelia's head

"What's a beautiful name, where'd it come from?"

"That was my biological mother's middle name" I sigh "I let him pick the middle name" I point over at Lucas

"Hey, it's not a bad middle name. It is simple and boyish. She's going to be a tomboy" he announces before lightly pecking me on the lips

"Guys not in front of the kid" I hear Zack says as he shutters

"Her eyes are closed dumbass" Lucas smacked him upside the head and I looked down at my beautiful baby girl

"She's got the best, loving family in the world" I say as I stroke her hair and kiss the top of her head.

I played with her fingers with my pointer. I watched her open her eyes ever so slightly and grab my finger in her tiny hand. A big smile plastered my face as I watch Amelia play with my hand.

'This is everything I've ever wanted and more'
