Harry and his friends were being chased by Death Eaters and got separated from one another. Harry got chased into the Time Turner room when Harry dodged a blast of magic coming from non other than Bellatrix. The blast of magic hit the Time Turners near Harry and caused a chain reaction which sent him with a pop to another time.
Where Harry landed it hurt like a bitch and blacked out where he lay.
