You and Taylor had been dating for eight months now and she had recently asked you to move in with her.
As ready as you've felt to take that big step into your relationship, you were unsure at the same time and you were honest with Taylor when you let her know that. Taylor had a big heart and was very understanding and you loved her for that. When you started apologizing for the way you were feeling, she comforted you and told you not to apologize for the way you were feeling the way you did. As she continues to comfort you with her words, she reassured you that she understands if you decide not to move in with her.
"Here's what I want you to do, honey. I want you to take all the time you need to think about it before making the decision. Than, when you're ready, let me know what you decided on." Taylor instructs you.
"Alright, I will." With that response, Taylor leans over and plants a soft kiss on your cheek.
"I promise I won't be offended or upset if you choose not to."
That was two days ago, and here you are, having yet to make up your mind about moving in. As you were giving it more consideration, you though it might be helpful to ask opinions from your family and closest friends about it. When you did, they were all very supportive and encouraging, and they had given you some wise advice. So you made up your mind to move in with your girlfriend.
On the next date, you talked about your decision with Taylor. You brought the subject up first.
"So, I have good news." You start, and looked over at Taylor.
"What is it, honey?"
"I think moving in with you would be the best thing for the both of us." When that was said, Taylor had a huge smile on her face. But it soon turned into a bit of concern.
"I'm very glad to hear that, Y/n. Are you absolutely sure this is what you really want?"
Taylor wanted to make sure she wasn't making you feel rushed into something you may not be ready for, or make you feel like you have to rush into things that didn't match your pace to move on.
"I'm sure of it." You and Taylor sat down on a park bench and discussed it a little bit more.
"I've made up my mind last night and had already have my stuff packed up whenever you're ready for me. There's no one else I'd rather see every part of the day than you. I love you so much, Tay."
Hearing those words warmed her heart and she pulled you into a tight hug. When she let go, she said, "I'm ready for you now."
The rest of your date was spent moving your things into your soon to be shared home. As you settled in for your first night there, you couldn't help but be excited as the next chapter in your life was only beginning.
