Olivia's POV

My heart's beating so fast. Was my mom actually going to tell me what happened?

"It's a long story but ok... What happened was-"

"I need to answer this" she took out her phone and walked away.

I turned to my best friend "Imma cry. No joke" I put my head on his shoulder.

"It's ok... You'll find out someday" he rubbed his fingers through my hair.

"Josh, can I ask you something?" I looked up at him.

"Yeah, go" he smiled.

Why did I have this sudden nerve to ask him if he liked me as more than a friend?

"I-" then it left "Never mind"

"No, tell me. Something is clearly on your mind and as your best friend it's basically my job to find out"

"Josh..." I started "I wanted to know if you think my parents will ever get back together?"

"I don't think that's what you wanted to ask me" he looked confused.

"I-"

"Are you sure that's it?" He checked.

I paused for a moment to check if I wanted to ask him "Yeah... That's it" I gave him a small smile.

"Ok, let's go then" we walked away because we both knew that my mom would never tell us. At least not today.

"Stop" Josh stopped suddenly as he looked at his phone, shocked.

"What?" I laughed at him.

"I have an idea" he looked at me.

"Ok. Go" I smiled.

He pointed at his phone "Let's go skiing"

"What?" I asked, shocked that he would even suggest that "You do realize that I have never been skiing and don't know how to?"

"Yeah but it'd be nice to try! Plus, look at the place" he showed me his phone.

"Ok... That does look pretty impressive" I laughed "Fine"

"YAS!" he smiled.

"First we're gonna need permission though" I reminded him.

"Yeah... Duh" he laughed.

"Let's go" we headed to class.

*The end of the day*

"So when we get home we will do homework then have a photoshoot?" I checked with my friend.

"No. Photoshoot first because you haven't had one in way too long" he smiled.
