Chapter 72 Putting Down A Former Champion

Lola was currently on set for principal  photography of Firestarter and it was great she was currently waiting on the sidelines to be called on as she read her script, As She continued reading the former Miss World was thinking about what to do about her family's situation

Meanwhile with Leni
She was busy cleaning her room getting it ready for the night ahead she was expecting someone that day, she got a date with a nice looking guy who was a construction worker now Leni was excited about this especially since she's been out of the game for a while now so she was determined to get back on that horse she already told Becky and Fiona the news and they gave her a make over and they are still not done with her once she was done cleaning she was in for a long day.

Meanwhile with Rita the matriarch was currently working on her novel again but she restarted and changed the whole story so it can be attractive she wrote about her experiences in prison and how the world is treating her since she got out back in the 70s but above all she yearned that one day her long lost son finally forgives her and the rest of the family for what happened as each day he's not here or talks bad about his family in interviews he adds another dagger to her heart but at least she's happy of how he turned out although she's not too pleased he chose boxing as a career but still it's better than him being a thief or a hobo or a drug addict or a criminal or worse a serial killer who ends up spending the rest of his life behind bars, as she thinks more about it if the law and social workers didn't intervene and deport him to South Africa, either her, her husband and their daughters could've been the death of him or he would've turned out a lot worse than he did in future after filling in another page in her book she got up and went to watch some tv maybe she could get lucky and one of her daughters movies are on but before that she had to go take a shower first but that rape she suffered years ago in prison still haunts her sometimes as she tends to watch her back before entering but not anymore nowadays.

Meanwhile with Luan
She was enjoying herself but at a cost She and the Revolutionary Barbarian cast have come together to shoot the show's first movie since it's inception in 1979 but this was the last time Spartacus would play in the show after 7 seasons of airing as per his contract renewal terms and conditions Lincoln wanted an honourable death scene in the movie since he was sick and tired of acting with Luan around and the fact she had the nerve to get into a show he was on was what caused him to leave the series, this was what also fans of the legendary series dreaded too as news of Lincoln leaving Revolutionary Barbarians was leaked in late 1983 and that his character Spartacus would be killed off in the upcoming movie sent shock waves across the world with fans even petitioning for him to stay on but he let them down gently in a recent interview
Lincoln: I love playing Spartacus he's my favorite character of all time but I feel now is the perfect time to leave since I have a lot of fights coming up and many movies are lining up for my services so I feel it's time to go and I know it's disheartening to my fans and I apologize for that but we can't turn back now
Journalist: Ok Champ but tell me here rumour has it that the reason your leaving is because your estranged sister Luan Loud joined the series and  that there is still bad blood between you two especially since she and the other Louds were not invited to your wedding is that true?
Lincoln: No... it's not true if it was I would've left the second she arrived but I worked with her for two years straight with no problems and we even did very funny and sexy scenes together ( He laughed) She and I are great coworkers but we are not siblings anymore I have to be honest
Journalist: So what's next for the champ where too from here?
Lincoln: I am gonna fight the winner of the Tate/Gross fight then I will fight either Mike Tyson or Bruno Martin but after that I might consider retiring since I done everything a heavyweight boxer ever aspired to do and I have been a professional for 12 years and I had some brutal and gruelling fights so I feel like after two or three more fights Then that's the end of the Ultimate Warrior
Now fans didn't believe that Lincoln was leaving for business reasons and made up their own reasons including the rumor that he left because of Luan and that made her get hated by the fans with some of them sending her hate mail others petitioning for her character to be killed off among other things

Luan was getting ready to play Audecca again she hasn't had an easy time since many fans and some actors really hated for driving Lincoln away from series she did get time to speak with him a few days ago on set

Luan: Hey Linc
Lincoln: Hey Luan what do you want?
Luan: Can't a big sister worry about her little brother?
Lincoln: Luan we have been through this You and I are not siblings so please respect that!
Luan: Sorry but You can't quit the show haven't these past two years made you reconsider?
Lincoln: Luan I am a busy man I love playing that character but I also want to keep my past and my present  separate
Luan: But Lincoln what happened between us was a long time ago can't you let it go you can't keep us out of your life forever!
Lincoln: Yes I can tell me here put yourself in my shoes and tell me would you forgive those people and me if we put you through what you guys put me through?!
Luan couldn't answer that question but her silence was good enough for him
Lincoln: I thought so now get out of my way!

Luan is still saddened by that but she must accept it as he won't change his mind. on her other news she gave birth to a beautiful baby girl a month ago named Destiny she was the spitting image of Luan except for the blonde hair very different from her and Logan's brunette hair as she got her hair from her father obviously.

Meanwhile in the Heavyweight division there was a lot of great and entertaining fights John Tate beat Reggie Gross by unanimous decision to gain a title shot against Lincoln Loud Bruno Martin knocked out Larry Holmes in the 3rd round to keep his position as Number one contender meanwhile an upset happened as Greg Page got beat Tony Tubbs by a fifteen round unanimous decision as Tony Tubbs became the new WBC Heavyweight Champion Of The World meanwhile Trevor Berbick was set to return to the ring against David Bey later this month against David Bey as for Mike Tyson he was continuing his winning streak he knocked out (The avoided by many fighters including Lincoln Loud) dangerous contender Jesse Ferguson in the 5th round And just recently easily dispatched Journeyman Steve Zouski in the 3rd round which placed him as Number two contender after Holmes lost to Martin and that got him upcoming fights against James Quick Tillis, Mitch Blood Green, Reggie Gross and Marvis Frazier among others if he can beat these guys a title shot is certainly around the corner. Meanwhile with Lincoln he was facing a dilemma The World Boxing Association ordered him to defend against the number 1 contender Bruno Martin in a rematch or the number two ranked contender Mike Tyson or he'll be stripped of the WBA title after he explained to them that he had a fight against 10th ranked John Tate they allowed him but stated that he can't fight nobody else other than Martin or Tyson in his next defence or he'll be stripped of the title.

So as he heads to the ring for his ninth title defense against former Champion Big John Tate he knew that he must focus on Tate for now
after the introductions are read and instructions told both fighters head their respective corners and wait for the bell

Tate comes out the aggressor and tries to take command of the fight but Loud avoids slugging with him and jabs creating distance between them this continues for the rest of the round

After getting some instructions Lincoln got up and unleashing an uppercut which got Big John's attention before backing him up into the corner and working on his body before the round ends

For the next six rounds both men had their moments with Tate outboxing Loud in a 3rd and badly hurting him in the fourth Lincoln turned it around in the 5th round And dropped Tate humiliating him but the former Champion refused to surrender ( In the audience was Bruno Martin and Tim Witherspoon and Mike Tyson in different parts of the stadium scouting the fight) In the 6th it was an even round but in the seventh Lincoln hurt Tate again but couldn't knock him down before the round ended
Eddie Futch: Go for it Lincoln you got him
Lincoln: Ok
The bell rings round 8
Lincoln immediately catches John with a devastating blow that backs him as Loud overwhelmed him with punches before delivering a powerful overland right that knocked down Tate again the referee quickly ran in for the count as Lincoln went to a neutral corner
Referee: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 Your out!!
