The sky is still stained grey, but with even bleaker undertones as the warm humid air plunges it. The dew on the grass was as still as ever, until a message from the Hange squad arrived that began chaos.

The exhausted Cadets arose from the damp tents and stumbled onto the ravishingly bright green grass to listen to Captain Levi announce the plans for the day. The complaints grew louder and louder the longer it took for Levi to come out of his tent to give the motivational words and appraisal that they were looking for.

"We're switching up the formation. We're going to be joining with the Left Wing Hange squad. Apparently, they've faced much more trouble than we have getting camped and extra people would be beneficial. Pack up the tents and prepare your horses. We're heading out in 15 minutes, and don't make me late." Levi ended his short lived and disappointing speech, after finally emerging from his tent. Eren could tell there was something wrong with him, that he seemed more tense than his usual self.

"So what do you think is wrong with Captain Levi today?" Mikasa questioned, standing next to Eren and Armin as they disbanded the tent they had previously woken up in.

"You noticed it too?" Armin said, looking up towards her, "I wasn't sure if I was making something up or if he was genuinely upset."

"Something is definitely wrong with Levi." Eren chimed in, getting looks from the pair as they stopped taking apart the tent.

"Since when do you call the Captain by his first name?"

"Oh, I guess I just messed up." Eren quickly responded, attempting to make it seem like a slip of the tongue, when it was much more than that.

"I'd suggest you get that under control Eren," Mikasa said swiftly and sternly, "Wouldn't want anyone to think anything strange about it."

Armin looked at Eren with bewilderment, as Eren exchanged the exact same look. Neither knew what she was hinting towards, but Eren most definitely had more of a clue than Armin.

"Mikasa, is something bothering yo-" Armin almost said with concern, until he was abruptly cut off.

"We're taking off now. Make sure the tents are hitched to the horses tightly. If you can't fit it, then leave it here." The Captain sharply stated, making sure everyone heard him. He headed over to his horse and hitched the saddle.

The Cadets dragged the weary horses out of the forest as Captain Levi guided the Right Wing Formation towards the coordinates Hange had sent him. The sky was a pale grey tinged with darker clouds, illuminating the sun that very bleakly shined onto the dewed grass. Eren couldn't help but notice the wrinkles of concern on Levi's face. Distressed by the troubles of the Left Wing Formation, Levi directed the scouts on route through an even thicker darker forest.

"We're splitting up the Formation into two parts to make it through the forest. Split up and go with Mitch." Levi commanded, as he steered his horse left towards the forest, leaving room for the Cadets to follow him.

"Captain!", Jean hollered, preparing to set off his dark red flair. "There's two abnormals to the left!"

Eren looked behind him and saw the beastly titans, at least 15 meters each. Levi rises off of his horse with his ODM gear, hooking it to the nubs of thicker dark green trees swinging himself to the left to attack the ill-favoured titans.

"Eren!" Levi belted, forcing Eren into a sharp moment of eye contact. "Stay within the area, I'll need a horse."

He swung around to attack the titans, his sword at the ready. Eren stopped his horse on the muddy trail, waiting for Levi's arrival as he watched the other Cadets flee the scene by
command.

Eren couldn't help but worry about what would come to be of this mission. The other Cadets on his level we're barely allowed to be informed of its purpose, they were told it was a top level priority and had to be executed immediately. If it was so important, why couldn't they be told what it was? How did they expect it to be executed perfectly if they weren't aware of it?

Eren's thoughts were abruptly cut off by the sound of Levi's ODM gear clinking onto trees, swinging him forward towards Eren's horse and landing on it.

"Thank you for waiting for me." Levi exhaled, fully out of breath from the ODM gear.

"Of course, sir." Eren hitched the horse and headed into the direction the rest of the Cadets fled to.

Levi wrapped his masculine arms around Erens waist and held onto him as he laid his head onto the back of his neck, barely peeking over his shoulder.

"Nobody is around right now, Eren. We don't have to pretend."

"They're nearby. I don't want to let our guard down." Eren responded, quickly shutting down whatever Levi's proposal was. He changed the horses direction and sped up as the rest of the Cadets came into eyesight and Levi let go.

The horse slowed down and came to a stop when it reached the rest of the Cadets and the Left Wing Formation. Eren and Levi plunged off the horse, as he got one last word in;

"I'm tired of keeping my guard up when I'm around you. Aren't lovers supposed to be a weakness?" Levi pondered, walking away from the young Cadet leaving him with questions.
