I. Where It Start

Chimon 's POV

I've never thought back then that I would love him this much. At that time It never occurred to me that I would fall for him this deep. So deep I can't ever get back on the surface. A love so strong that it could drown me.

Love is truly like a storm. You will never know when it will come. A storm that could change you, could hurt you, could kill you.

As I reminisce the day that you came in to my life, these questions came to my mind.

If I could go back to that time, knowing these things will happen. Would I still choose the same? Would I let myself meet you? Know you more? Choose you? Fall in love with you?

Third Person's POV

Chimon can't help but sigh, remembering things like this is a normal occurrence for him, especially when raining.

He is watching his P'Non coloring the books that he bought for him.

Rain. Drizzle. Storm. He hates when it rains. It was raining when his mother died. It was raining when he found out that the very reason his mother passed is also the reason why he had the chance to meet the love of his life. It was also raining when he found out about his Phi's true identity. And it was also raining on that fateful night he was hurt by the person who promised to take care of him.

What's more? Why he hates the rain? It's because it brings back memories he tried so hard to forget.

Fifteen Years Ago

"News break... A low pressure area is approaching the country tonight, this may bring flood and landslide......"

The seven years old Chimon is watching TV along with his P'Non. Unlike other child who wants to watch cartoons, he on the other hand wants to watch News like this. He wants to know more about his surroundings, wants to be omniscient at almost all aspects of life. He is pretty mature for his age. And that's how his mother always bragged about him to their neighbours. That her Chi is a very capable boy even with a young age.

And Chimon loves it so much. When his mother talked about him to the other people. How he makes his mother proud.

Most of the time, it was only Chimon and Nanon who was always at home. His mother is a single mom. She has to work more hours if she wants to give his sons brighter future. She is also someone who thinks a head. Even though Chimon and Nanon were still young. She bought them insurance. But even she is busy with her work she always make sure that she prepared breakfast, lunch and dinner for the two. And always make time for the two of them. She always played with them if she has time. She is kind and gentle but strong-willed. Many have courted her but she rejected them all because she doesn't want her attention to be divided. And she is a righteous person. Whenever Nanon was being bullied and Chimon fought the bullies for his Phi, his mother would always give her a piece of her mind. In her views, although Sun is right at fighting for his brother, she's always telling Chimon that he should be a bigger person, that he should still needs to forgive those people, forget what they have done and moved on. These incredible trait have somehow was passed to Chimon.

That night seems to be just a normal night. It's raining because of storm but this doesn't make Chimon frightened.

"Chi, take care of your P'Non..." that is her last words for him "I'll just buy the three of us dinner, ok?"

"Can I go with you?" Chimon asked.

"I want to go with Mae too." Nanon said.

"No baby... You have to stay here, your P'Non will be lonely if the two of us go. Take care of him."

Chimon looked at his Phi. Of course, he doesn't want his P'Non to get lonely.

Then he nodded. His mother smiled at Chimon then hugged and kissed him. She also did the same to Nanon.

"I'll be back don't worry" she promised.

But that is the last time that he would see his mother.

While watching TV her Aunt, who never visited them before fetched them. Chimon was worried because her Aunt whom he knows as grumpy and obviously doesn't like them, was so tensed. And then, they arrived at the hospital.

Tears fell down as Chimon saw his mother's lifeless body lying on the bed. He doesn't know what happened but at that time he doesn't care. He wants his mother back. He was crying, as well as Nanon. They are weeping so loud, he wants his mother hear how he screamed and called her.
In his little mind, maybe if they called her out loud, she would woke up and raised from the bed. But that didn't happened.

His mother who was solely raised him and his Phi,  who trained Chimon to take care of his Phi, who actually bore it to his soul that since, they are brothers they need to protect each other and since Nanon is a bit different from other kids, it's Chimon who must protect and take care of him.

His mother was the nicest and kindest person Chimon knows. She was loving and caring. Her smiles was the warmest and most beautiful smile that Chimon have ever seen.

Chimon could still remember how she smiles at them, whenever thet arrived from school even though she was so tired from work. How she cooked for dinner and called them. And even though she is the kindest soul out there, she is also strict and righteous. She taught Chimon and Nanon that they have to be good to other people as well, even though, they're not good to them.

Life with their mother was paradise, they were so happy back then. But life as cruel as it is, took her away. It was just an ordinary day, they didn't know that it would be her last. Just like this rainy day. She was hit by a car driven by an irresponsible drunk driver who also died because of that accident.

They said that Chimon's mother was a hero, she jumped onto the road, trying to rescue a child and push him out of the car's way. But in Chimon's head, they don't need a hero. He wants his mom back. But she would never going back.

The family of the child gave them money for what she did. As if that could compensate her life.

Chimon was so enraged back then. He hated that stupid irresponsible driver that hit his mom. He hated that stupid child and his irresponsible parents. He even hated his mom for being selfless and for leaving the two of them like that.

That's how Chimon and Nanon life struggles started. At first, since they are both young they lived with their Aunt. But her Aunt and cousins treated them differently. They are not abusing them but they didn't love and treat them as family. Thus, when he was 16 and was able to provide for himself and his Phi they moved out from his Aunt place. Of course, it wasn't easy, he had to take care of his Phi, while working and studying. He had to think of the bills, the tuition and their every day expenses.

He took a degree in Nursing as he wants to be in the field of medicine. Even though it's hard, he tried his best to finish his studies, he worked as a barista, waiter and a guitarist, as playing guitar is his passion, and he is good with it. And he did. He finished his studies and tried to apply. But he is not so lucky to be hired.

As an intern he met, Dr. New Vihokratana, the head neurologist in the hospital where he had his intership. He was an intern for Dr. New's team. The head neurologist has been good to him and to all other staff. He felt that somehow Dr. New treats him as family, as a son. Dr. New's fondness of him is a well-known fact in that hospital.

That's why when Dr. New called him and asked him to be his son's nurse after a year of internship and as he is preparing for his residency, Chimon was overwhelmed. He badly needed the job. He needs to pay for his P'Non's tuition on his SPED school. And Dr. New's offered him a good deal.

So what's the catch to this almost perfect situation?

Dr. New's son is the same grumpy, rude guy whom he bumped to, accidentally, and had the frappe the guy was holding spilled on the guy's expensive shirt. Of course, he didn't mean it. It was an accident and he  apologized but most rich people, think that they were entitled for more, they think that they own the world, that they are more important, and this guy is really one of them.

If only he could reject Dr. New's request. Chimon sighed.
