Kate had asked Riley and James to compete in a duet competition right before regionals, she said they were the best choice as they had the most chemistry on the team. She wasn't wrong about that either, James and Riley were both crushing on each other and this duet will only bring them closer
They were in Studio A practicing some lifts, they were pretty advanced and scary to most people Riley was either spinning around James or Straight high above his head then being let go and spun down into his arms where he would catch her
"Anyone else sweating from just looking at those lifts?" Michelle asks and the girls agree, even Emily that's like the only they've agreed on.
Riley's thrown up then caught by him and all the girls, accept Riley, flinch at this "God, how do you trust him" Stephanie asks "He's one of my best friends, I'd trust him with my life" she says smiling and positioning herself for the next lift
They finally nail it, she jumps into his arms legs wrapped around his waist hugging him tight "Finally!" He yells out
Stephanie nudges Chloe smirking and winking at them.
"Ok, now let's actually rehearse" she suggests "Music room?" He asks "Music room" she confirms
"See ya guys, we'll be back soon" she says as James grabs her hand pulling her out "Woah- slow down jay" she laughs
"Jay?" Tiffany asks Emily "I don't know" She replies shrugging "They clearly have very good chemistry for 'besties'" Tiffany says insinuating the fact that they like each other "Yeah their friends and that's it" Emily presses
Music Room
Their duet song is Do I Do by Stevie Wonder, it's fun and upbeat kinda hot not gonna lie, I don't think they care though.
As they danced, their connection grew stronger. As if a magnetic force was bring them closer together like they couldn't leave they just gravitate towards one another. He faces her away from himself but brings her close and holds her as she moves her hips, that's when the lift comes in. No surprise it's perfect and dare devilish.
She lands, both feet on the ground and turns to him, starting into his big eyes the wondering down to his lips. James had finally had enough, he pulled her in by the waist and engulfs her in a kiss, their lips moves together as if they were dancing.
She pulls away and smiles only to lean back in for another kiss.
Not noticing Stephanie and Chloe jumping up and down silently as they watch the teens kiss "It's happening" Chloe whispers "JILEY" Stephanie whisper yells before running off to find Kate
"I really like you James" Riley says looking back at his eyes "I like you too" he smiles again then kisses her once again.
"Should go back to rehearsing" she asks and he nods smiling the pecks her on the lips
