I could barely even think straight. Tiana
had told me she loved me. I don't see
why she would hang up after saying it.
I didn't even no if I loved her back. But
this was special. It meant that we were
basically on the same page. I almost believed what Jamal said, about her just
using me until Cesar wanted her again.

But this, this gives me hope. Jamal just
stared blankly at me. "You do realize
she just say that to get a rise out of you."
He squinted. I rolled my eyes. "No she
didn't. She actually does loves me, and
a part of me loves her too." I shrugged.

Jamal shook his head as he stood up. "I don't even know why I followed your
ass up and came here." He mumbled to
himsef. He looked at me. "This is gettin
way out of hand. You need to wake up
before it's too late." He glared.

"There's literally nothing bad going on
here, you just want a reason not to like
Tiana! Just like you did Olivia!" I didnt
want to say that, but he needed to hear
it. He always needed a reason to hate
anyone who could compete with Monse.

They all needed a wakeup call. "This protecting Monse shit needs to end! Its
not our fault she got pregnant at 14! I
mean- yeah she's our friend but do we
really need to protect her this much?" I
asked. Jamal closed his eyes. A small
laugh escaped from his lip. "Fuck you."

What? I stepped back a little. He came
closer to me though. "No honestly, it's
really fuck you!" He yelled. "Monse
has nothing to do with me not liking
Tiana. It's the fake that you know she's
using you and only choose not to see
that shit is because you crave the touch
of some girl who doesn't give two fucks about you or your life!" He lectured.

I glared, "You have no idea what you're even talking about." He titled his head.
"Ruben we all know that she's just wants
to use you." He said. I don't understand
why he had to be so negative. Even if
she was using me, which she's not, it
has nothing to do with Jamal or anyone.

"Tiana loves me, she said it herself." I
frowned. If she didn't love me then she
would have never said it. You don't say
shit like that unless you mean it. I tried
to call and text her over and over. But I guess it didn't matter to her. Or maybe
my girl was just too embarrassed.

Either way she meant every word. I
smiled to myself, just thinking about her makes my heart warm. I don't care what anyone has to say. What we have is love. The only reasom people think that it's
not is because they're so use to seeing
these damaged relationships all the time.

Now they see a real one and they can't handle it. And that's okay. Soon though, soon they'll all see. "Ruby, let's just be realistic." Jamal frowned. I shook my
head. "No I'm done being your way of
realistic. You guys just don't want me
to be happy!" I yelled. Its the truth.

Everytime I find someone who I think
will be good for me, Jamal and Monse
always put their opinions in it. And I
always took their sides.

Jamal frowned, "I don't want you to
get your little virgin heart broken over some girl who is going to leave you in a month!" He was starting to piss me off.
"Per usual, you're overreacting." I said.

I opened my room door. "You can leave
if you're going to be negative." I said.

"You'll see Ruby. And I'll be right there
to laugh in your face." He shrugged. I
nodded as he walked out the door. When
I went to close it, a hand held it open.

Olivia was standing there. She had her
arms folded. I frowned, "What Olivia?"
Now wasn't the time. "Maybe you need
to listen to Jamal. About Tiana?" She
suggested. I rolled my eyes. "You dont
even know her enough to speak about
her." I said. She glared, "Yeah I do."

"And I know that she's just using to get
my man's attention. Even though you
don't equal Cesar's jealousy." She said.
I glared at her. She shook her head. "I- what I'm saying is, your little- fling isn't going to last much longer." She said.

I frowned, "So you think she'll get
Cesar back?"

Olivia scoffed, "Ruben please...I'm his
soul mate. No one can have him but me."

I nodded my head. "See, you're just
saying all that bad shit about her because
Cesar cheated on you with her. Now you made this false story in a attempt to take
away her true love." I said. It all made
sense. Olivia just wanted to be relevant.

"I don't need this shit to be relevant. I'm always relevant. And why would I be worried about that? Cesar made a human mistake, learn something." She rolled
her eyes. I glared, "A human mistake is
forgetting to turn off the stove! Cesar
cheated on you! Stop making excuses."

Olivia shrugged, "We see things way differently. But continue to get used, I
will be working to get my novio back."
She made sure to slam the door when
she left. Whatever.
