OLIVIA SCAMANDER ~ Three Years Earlier
Dear Diary,
about a week ago - I think it was on Tuesday I got a letter by owl post, a letter that Newt seemed weirdly excited about;

FLASHBACK ~
"Olivia! Merlin you wont believe this! come on! hurry downstairs!" Newt shouted from the hall downstairs
"what is it?" I said getting to the middle of the stairs as I placed Dougal - newt's Demiguise on the step above me, Newt stroked Dougal as he passed me the envelope.
"whats this?" I asked
"a letter, for you" he smiled, I furrowed my eyebrows as I pulled the letter out of the already opened envelope.

"Dear Miss Scamander,
we are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. students shall be required to the chamber of Reception upon arrival, the dates for which shall be duly advised. please ensure that the utmost attention be made to the list of requirements attached herewith. we very much look forward to receiving you as part of the new generation of Hogwarts' heritage.
yours sincerely Ms McGonagall" I looked up at Newt "this means.." I started "I.. get.. to.. go.. to.. Hogwarts!" I jumped up and down before jumping into Newts arms engulfing him into a huge hug. when we pulled away I checked inside the envelope once again and there was another piece of paper, it was basically just letting me know when I needed for the school year, one book in particular caught my eye "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Newt Scamander" again I looked up at him "Merlin! Newt we are studying your book!"
"I know!" he replied with just as much energy, as I folded the papers back up and shoved them in the envelope my Nana walked through the front door, my dog new puppy Willow following behind her

"what's the hall meeting about kids?" Nana asked with a slight laugh as she hung her coat up on the coat hook by the door, Willow jumped onto my leg before I picked her up
"Olivia got a letter" Newt said following Nana into the kitchen
"was it a love letter?" she laughed
"nana! I'm 11" I shook my head
"yes, sorry. what was it then?"
"my acceptance letter... into Hogwarts!"
"dear merlin! really? i'm so, so proud of you!" she wrapped me and willow into her warm embrace, then she get go
"is it ok if I head to Cedric's house? I want to see if he got a letter!" I asked
"of course, but leave Willow here" she smiled. I nodded then ran up to my room, I changed out of my pyjamas that I had been in today and into something more suitable for outside

Then I grabbed my letter, shoved it into my back pocket and did the same with my phone before running back downstairs and into the garage so I could get out my bike.

"okay! Nana I wont be long!" I shouted before peddling down the street to Cedric's house. once I got there I threw my bike on the ground outside and ran to the front door knocking on it frantically.

"IT'S OPEN OLIVIA DEAR!" Ms Digory shouted from inside with a laugh
"thank you!" I shouted back running straight upstairs to be faced by Cedric's closed door.
"ceddie!" I knocked once
"yeah come in!" he said. I wiped the door open and ran onto his bed, belly flopping onto it. "hello, yeah i'm fine and you? ohh lovely" he rolled his eyes playfully as he spun around in his chair
"sorry, i'm just so excited!" I squealed
"about...?"
"did you not get one? a Hogwarts letter?"
"oh yeah! I did" he smiled "I noticed that Newt's book is one we are studying too"
"ye, its so cool!"
"we're going to need to go to Diagon Alley you know" he sighed
"yeah! I'm pretty sure newt will take us if you want" I shrugged now sitting up on his bed
"sounds good"
I nodded just as Ms Digory knocked on the bedroom door
"Olivia, are you staying for your tea? or are you going for it love?" she asked
"I think im going home, she's making our favourite" I chuckled
"pizza?"
I got embarrassed "yep"
she shook her head with a laugh "so ced, tea wont be very long"
"ok mum" he replied.
"we better get sorted into the same house" he said as his mum shut the door
"yeah"
"it will be miserable if we dont"
"I know! we will probably hardly get to see each other"
"hmm" he started to spin around in his chair, then my phone rang.

"oh hey Oli... whats up?" I smiled, though he couldn't see me
"food's ready" he mumbled
"it is?"
"ye, nana said by the time you get home it will be at the table"
"alright. I wont be long"
then he hung up. I put my phone back into my pocket and stood up.

"food?" cedric questioned standing up with me
"food" I chuckled, he stepped closer to me and hugged me. once we'd pulled off the two of us went downstairs, he turned into his kitchen and I walked out of the house, back on my bike and rode home...

*an hour later*
we'd just finished our tea and now we are all, except from Oli, on the sofa watching TV, I was of course laid on Newt.

"nana, you know Cedric and I will need to go to Diagon alley soon, like really soon" I chuckled looking over at the armchair
"yes doll. Newt can you ta-" she started
"obviously.. you know how much I love diagon alley" he chuckled
"thanks" I smiled up at him...

, and it turns out it was my Hogwarts letter, letting me know I got in! I was honestly so happy.
yeah then after that, about two days after Newt took Cedric and I down to London to diagon alley so we could get our things - though all my books were newts old ones. now one really weird thing is.. my wand is the EXCACT same as newts besides the strip of colour, mine is yellow, its so so weird.
anyway its my first day tomorrow and I need to sleep! dont worry I packed - I'll write later
