... "hmmm, another Scamander ey? You might belong in Hufflepuff, where they are just as loyal, those patient Hufflepuffs are true, and unafraid of toil, like the fast amount of your family. or, perhaps in Slytherin, where you will meet really friends, these are cunning folks and will go to any means to achieve their ends, to follow your father... but alas... one of both shines brighter than the other, yes, mmm, it must be," then It shouted over the hall "HUFFLEPUFF!" I smiled a lot before I let out a huff, happy I didn't get into Slytherin, then I walked over to the table sitting right next to Cedric. we both smiled at each other before Dumbledore spoke up again
"let the Feast begin!" he announced waving his hand up, then all the food appeared on the table
"woah..." I said lightly
"it's amazing isn't it?" the first year girl who was sat at the table behind me said
"yeah, yeah, totally" I nodded turning around
she covered her mouth "sorry  ugh how rude of me. I'm Luna, Luna Lovegood" she smiled, putting her hand out to shake, I gladly took it.
"I'm Olivia, Olivia Scamander."
"well it's nice to meet you" she said letting go of my hand
"and you" I replied, then as the two of us went back to eating Cedric proded me with a fork "ow! what was that for!?" I tutted at him, he leant down to my ear
"you didn't introduce me" he whispered, I rolled my eyes lightly
"sorry, Luna" I turned again and got her attention, then pointed at my childish best friend, "this Is Cedric Diggory, my best friend. he wanted me to introduce him to you" I chuckled
she laughed along "its fine, Hi Cedric - it's nice to meet you"
"yeah, you too" he said, actually being confident. again we started to eat silently.
AN HOUR AND A HALF LATER
we finally got released from the great hall, but obviously they made the First years go first, they made us follow the house prefects to the common rooms so we wouldn't get lost.
"Hufflepuffs follow me please! dont get mixed with the Slytherins!" the prefect shouted, leading us down stairs with the Slytherins right behind us. we went down one flight of stairs, to the basements before coming to a stop outside a door, with Barrels on the walls surrounding it. the prefect didn't do anything until all the slytherins had disappeared down the next flight of stairs, to the Dungeons.

"right, to enter the Common room, you have to tap one of the barrels" the prefect started "the one that is two from the bottom, middle of the second row. but you have to tap to the rhythm of Helga Hufflepuff"
all us first years nodded as the prefect opened the door and let us in. he then, one by one showed us where our rooms were, and to be fair I was very lucky, Cedric's room was on my left. then we got left to it, so we could decorate - now i'd already planned what I was going to make mine look like, before leaving my nana, mum and Newt helped me look though pinterest and pick some things, then we found out where to get all the stuff and obviously bought them. anyway once I got into my room my suitcase, bag, guitar and school cat - yes school cat, he Is basically just this little Bengal kitten, well hes a kitten for now-

His name is Nemo and I have to sorta share him with Cedric, since we both used our money to get him. but yeah hes a little sweetheart. Anyway I started to put all my decorations up and everything, and putting a cat tree in the corner, it took me about 2 hours to set everything up

"liv! open the doorrr!"
"alright, coming!" I said skipping up to the door "yes Cedric?" i asked
"have you finished your room? I've finished mine! can I see?" he was strangely excited
"yea, come in" I shook my head, once he was in I shut the door and went to lay on my bed, grabbing nemo and putting him onto my lap as Cedric looked around.
"this is really pretty" he said after looking around and coming to sit right next to me
"thanks" I smiled, then for a few more hours we just sat there together, talking...
