HOW DID U COME UP W THIS?

so, writing this story was definitely
one that brought in some
feelings that i didn't know
i wanted to showcase but
here we are.

despite it being less explicit than
i originally wanted it to be, i had
a moment to think about the plot.
and i didn't want it to be just
sexual, but more forming some
sort of kinship with each other.

and in a sense, the plot simply progress
almost immediately and i liked where it
went—in a sense, where i got to tell
their story with their soft interactions.

WHY NAME IT TECHNICOLOR BEAT?
& WHAT WAS THE INSPIRATION BEHIND
SAID TITLE?

as the title of the book is based off
oh wonder's song, i also wanted it
to be feminine and soft; i wanted to
show that softness that i don't see
much in wattpad, and in a relationship.

THE ENDING, WHY? :((

i personally think that, not
everyone gets a happy ending.

the end chapter is bittersweet, yes.
why? because of the epilogue that
follows shortly after the ending.

the epilogue, however, was tragic.
i initially wanted a five year arc
where the two lived out their lives
and joslyn dies from an unknown
disease—but i changed it to a more
darker end because it made sense, yk?

SIDE NOTE:

also, i'm really sorry that they
didn't end up together :((
i really wanted that too, but
that mysterious text is what led
to joslyn's death. again, i'm sorry.

THE STORY WAS QUICK;
WHAT WAS THE PROCESS
FOR WRITING THIS STORY?

i didn't initially think of it, and then,
i just asked a few friends about it;
hence, leaving me to think about it
and immediately writing it down.

from the writing to how the plot ended,
i really loved the whole concept, actually.
i just adored these two, as i know my
sister and her lover is similar to them.

and i think, it's beautiful to see how
almost effortless the story progressed
and see how well the book flourished.

also, i'd like to apologize for the tragic
ending—i think there was no other way
i wanted it to end, in a way, it helped alice
realize how much the two were having fun.
