[you tried to get lucy to laugh]
throughout knowing lucy, you hadn't heard her laugh much. you didn't know why, maybe tragic past, maybe just not into jokes. but this gave you a mission. a mission to get her to laugh at the hands of your amazing jokes that you learned. however, it was never working.
whenever you tried to joke, you didn't want to make it obvious that you were trying to get her to laugh. so, it was usually just side comments that made a few of the others chuckle. "and then the badger kicked," you finished a story, something based off of a previous conversation.
most of everyone in the group laughed, including lucy. "ha, i did it!" you cheered, pumping your fist in the air. suddenly the laughing seized, confusion setting upon your friends. "i've been trying to get lucy here to laugh." she bit her lip, glaring a little at you afterwards.
"how about you actually tell me jokes, i'm more prone to laughing at those," lucy smiled some before leading the group again.
