"You made it!" My dad gasps excitedly as I roll my eyes when he pulled me into a tight hug,

"Why are you dressed like this?" I ask noticing he was wearing a button up shirt and dress pants,

"Oh, I forgot to tell you, Heather decided to invite your school principal and his family last minute when she found out you were coming tonight" My dad says as we walked to the dining room making me stop in my tracks seeing a familiar person I never would of thought would be welcomed into my house,

"You remember our daughter right Mr.Ryker? She's one of the seniors at your school" Heather asks getting up from the dinner table with a fake smile to stand next to me as I rolled my eyes at what she just said,

"I ain't your daughter" I mutter pushing past her to sit next to my dads chair at the head of the table where she got up from as she hesitates before sitting in the other chair next to me,

"Yes, I remember Ms.Johnson. She has some classes with my son here. You two know each other right Trent?" Mr.Ryker asks turning to the person I ran away from just a few hours ago after school,

"Yes, me and Jezzabelle know each other very well. I'd say we're so close that there isn't a day we aren't having skin to skin contact with each other" Trent replies while winking at me as I almost puked at his words,

"So anyways, what are we having for dinner dad" I say changing the awkward subject,

"Your favorite of course, grilled and well done steak with a side of rice" He answers back as I looked down seeing the steak sliced up neatly and the rice filling up half of my plate just the way I've loved it since I was a kid,

"You cooked?" I ask confused at the way the steak was cooked exactly the same way he cooked it on my 7th birthday,

"Actually, I ordered them fresh from that new steak house in town that everyone's been bragging about how it was very delicious so let's not waste it now" my dad replies with a snort as the adults at the table laughed at his somehow (not really) funny dad joke,

"Of course" I muttered with a sigh before starting to eat as my dad looked at me confused,

"So, Mr.Ryker. How is it like being the principal at Snyder's High school?" Heather asks while smiling at the principal sitting across from her,

"It's a great job. I mean, it's not the greatest job at some points but it's always been a dream of mine to help out children in any way" He says while cutting his steak as I ignored the feeling of his sons eyes on me,

"Speaking of helping out children, how has my daughter been doing at school lately. Last time we had a meeting in your office, you brought up the fact that she was failing some classes and she's been acting up at the school?" Heather asks with a smug look as I glared at her,

"Jezzabelle is a bright student at the school, I just think she's just hanging out with the wrong crowd. I mean as far as I know, only one of the four of the friends shes always hanging out with is an honor student at the school with straight A grades. The other three are the ones I worry about having bad influences on your daughter" Mr.Ryker explains while looking at me with a worried expression as I quickly grabbed the napkin on the table to wipe my mouth before pushing my chair away from the table,

"I'm full" I announce with a bored expression before walking away hearing my father try to protest against me,

"If you need me, I'll be upstairs" I say quickly rushing upstairs not wanting to make a big scene at the table in front of another one of my fathers guests he wants to make a good impression to when they come over,
